Disclaimer:

1) No sane person in here denies this Westbrook disaster was, in no small part, due to LeBron
2) His body language and leadership is atrocious - 100%. He's sulked this bad before on far less adversarial conditions

that said, it is 100% hilarious to see all these old LeBron haters/Kobe stans-cum-Laker-"fans" come out of the woodwork. There's been scant opportunity to laugh at LeBron's misery, but I guess if your idol has been dethroned as the GOAT/is a rapist and is dead then there's not much else for you to do but try and make others miserable.

Keep on hating!

LeBron James has no viable path to catching Michael Jordan in legacy. It's over.

This is an absolutely tasteless post. Responding to bait posts with more bait is not allowed and you just broke all the lines.
Warned.
As a friendly reminder to everyone else, if you think something is off-side, report it, otherwise you don't get any rope either.

It's kinda the other way round in my book. LeBron is currently tied for scoring champion title at 37. I don't really care about a term as vague as "legacy" but in terms of overall career value and longetivity LeBron is the GOAT and I can't see anyone catching him for awhile. He's Duncan / Kareem on steroids in that regard.

Side note, why do people only care about Michael Jordan? I'm so tired of hearing him be single handedly deified honestly. There are other players which careers comparable to MJ ya know.
You said to me “I will give you scissor seven fine quality animation".

You left then but you put flat mediums which were not good before my scissor seven".

What do you take me for, that you treat somebody like me with such contempt?

legacy is extremely subjective so what do you mean?

do you say it as "the majority public will never consider lebron the goat"which is possible

or in a "there is an objective criteria for goatness which lebron cannot accompmosh anymore"? which seems tougher sell

You came into a LeBron thread to talk about Michael Jordan where the recent discussion had nothing to do with MJ. Yeah, you seem obsessed.

as much as í like westbrook the person and wrstbrook the okc legend

i would be Lying if i said i was not dissapointed on him in that regard

Disappointed in him as a basketball player and asset? Certainly.

As a person? I would never be disappointed in an athlete who doesn't want to win as much as others. There are far more important things in life.

I agree with your point about not having to value a title as much as others. But hypothetically if he knows but doesn't care to adjust his playing style for the good of the team then I'd be disappointed with him personally on that.

In the end this just seems to be a horrible fit more than anything though.

Everyone posting over the last couple of pages, knock it off.

This isn't a LeBron vs. MJ thread. Next person to bring up MJ or any other such nonsense will get a 12 hour ban.

Actually, I am locking this thread to cool everyone off. The discourse around this thread seems a bit testy and way too negative over the last few days.

Man I'm amazed that the Lakers made zero moves at the deadline. This record is embarrassing
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

there are fairly strong arguments imo for all of bill russel, kareem, lebron and jordan with other players having mpre niche cases (wilt, magic, bird, shaq, duncan, hakeem)

but jordan's case (a high flying mega scorer who played in the 90's when most people discussing basketball today in media were kids or playing against + toma tonsof rings and accolades ) definitely has the most mass appeal beyond niche communities that analize basketball a bit more in depth (aka real gm pc board)

basketball culture for better or worse has forever became defined by Michael Jordan figure in a sense more than by kareem, russel, bird or lebron or anyone else (also part of why kobe is a top 3 guy ever in so many people minds)

is a bit like baseball where a pitcher may be the most impactful player ever but his cultural appeal wont be as big as a slugger

or a goalkeeper being arguably the most important position on hockey but less popular thsn scorers

even if we could objectivelt prove a player wss better/more inpactful than jordan, the appeal of scoring numbers + aesthetical pleasing game + charisma/personality myth + rings/accolades would be hard to beat in the minds of most people

Lakers fans might do the best job this season by making it so toxic that Westbrook ends up opting out of his player option at this rate.

The Lakers trading for Westbrook very well might be the worst trade they have ever made in their entire history.

Everybody with a brain could see it was not going to work from a mile away.

I do wonder WTF Westbrook said to AD and Lebron for them to sign off on bringing him to the team.

As he has basically refused to sacrifice his playstyle at all despite the coaching staff and Lebron calling him out.

Also, this video down below is just embarrassing to watch from someone getting paid 44 million dollars.

Is Westbrook’s family actually getting death threats? Because everything I’ve seen is him getting pissy because fans are calling him Westbrick. Also there are a bunch of Westbrook stan accounts (live the below one) on Twitter that are absolutely hilarious. Imagine stanning for such a selfish, losing mentality player.

What kills me is Westbrook is by all accounts this great, unselfish guy off of the court; and is intelligent IRL (would've made it to stanford based off of his GPA and all).

How a guy like that plays the way he does on the court is utterly unbelievable lmao
