How long are you going to japan for?

2-3 weeks. Not as long as we [Girlfriend and I] would like. We both work remotely but neither of our companies are allowing us to work Remotely OUS [Mine is because I work with live personal data like SSN while her company is simply being difficult].

We have a friend who lives on Okinawa [Military Wife  ] so we may go there for 2-4 days. Tokyo and Osaka were the two cities we are planning to stay in.

Do you live or have you lived there?

Nope, but was thinking of going to Fukuoka for a job but that time passed now.

I'm going back to Asia in September but probably back to Taiwan or or Thailand.

We also would love to go to Thailand [Phuket Island].

Planning a Maldives trip for sometime in the next three years (very vague, at first, but I'm at that ambiguous point of time in life so  ).

We did Nicaragua around Christmas/New Years last year and I highly recommend it. Super affordable [Much cheaper than Costa Rica, even though they border], relatively safe [Lower crime rates than US, for example] and absolutely beautiful. We stayed in Granada and outside of Playa San Juan Del Sur [We were in Playa Maderas, which has some of the best surfing in the world].

I can't get enough of the Ocean and hopefully will be moving somewhere in the US in the next 1-2 years to a coastal town [Though it is expensive compared to Minneapolis].

The Maldives is on our short list as well. Would you be going with someone?

I would be, yeah! Thank you for the recommendations and best of luck with the relocation search :D

Costa Rica is pretty expensive for Central America. Looked into the COL and it wasn't really worth it to go there.

There's a thread on the GB about this article, and there's really people on there saying that this headline is "click-baity" even though the headline is exactly what the article is about, complete with quotes from multiple players about Ingram's usage and how it's different from his normal role.

People really have the audacity to complain about headlines without READING THE ARTICLE.

This has been the story of Ingram's career--even in his best seasons so far. I'm going to be honest, and this is simply anecdotal, but I have never watched the New Orleans Pelicans and thought "Wow, this Ingram guy is good". He doesn't show-up on Film the way you would want an All-Star caliber player to show up. He doesn't show-up in anything outside of Points in the box-score, and then you have this which is really a bad look.

But, none of this is surprising to anyone who follows the NBA closely. Ingram isn't a coveted piece like Donovan Mitchell [For example]. Hell, he isn't even Jaylen Brown.

A large part of that is because it has been the safest and most prosperous nation in Central America for most of modern history. People are willing to pay for that.

Yup. They were able to become a Democracy in the mid-1800s but have avoided much of the violence and turmoil most other central american countries endured for the better part of the 1900s. Huge reform in the 1950s has helped.

In the midst of voting for a friend group trip for next spring which includes Costa Rica for a week, can validate that it's the most expensive option of like 5/6

Youngest American to make the US-O semis in 31 years; not expecting much, but I’m curious as to what he could learn with the Novak matchup incoming

Does anyone watch Rugby World Cup here? I am very casual fan of the international rugby, but WC is always great time for me.

For any football fans in here, is this essentially the end for Rodgers’ career? Feels like coming back from this at the age of 40 is quite the up-hill battle. Gutted for Jets fans and Rodgers.

I know almost everything there is to know about NBA history, but there is one player who's made an All NBA team in the modern ish era I don't know anything about his style of game, have not tried to look up highlights of it, etc.: Vin Baker. I think I will leave it that way, saving it like a bottle of wine.

In the context of Baker, that phrasing sounds quite awkward, to say the least.
