can we take a moment to appreciate how giannis shooting is coming along slowly but consistently?

i am thinking with how work ethic he will have an above average jumpshot gane in his 30's and dominate still with post game, jumpshots and power game, kinda like older lebron did develop his offense after his athletism slowed

And not just work ethic, but mindset. He's not afraid of his weaknesses like a Ben Simmons is, he just works to get better.

We can all focus on Giannis limitations, but he's absolutely amazing when it comes to his focus and mentality. I really hope he becomes one of the greatest players ever.

It's a bright moment for the league - Giannis, Jokic, Embiid are all so exciting to watch.

Giannis is still a pleasure to watch because he possess the best motor in the league. Ja might be the only player close. Except this is a 7 foot monster trying to dunk it down your throat every time and there’s not *that much* teams can do to stop it. He’s not looking to draw fouls ad Infinitum, he’s trying to score every time.

Man I gotta admit though, after seeing the Bucks flame out year after year I was off the Giannis bandwagon, it seemed like his skills were regressing. And his game just didn’t look playoff resilient. Boy was I wrong, he shut my ass up with the way he won the title. We hadn’t seen a offensive-defensive series like that since 2012-2013 LeBron James.

I’m pulling for them to come out of the East. I don’t see anyone in the East stopping the Bucks, especially now that the core has another year together, and they’re healthy at the right time.

Giannis at this point in his career is solidly ahead of Durant now for me. The defense is just too big in favor of Giannis, and he’s still a terror on the court regardless if he’s making shots, more so than Durant.

Jokic idk he’s in his own dimension, which is great for us lol

Always wild to me that a guy this effective, we would focus only on him not being a knockdown jump shooter. This guy has been scoring at high volume and high efficiency for years now, adds terrific secondary playmaking off the attention he requires, plays elite level defense, is the scariest transition player alive, etc...

He's one of the 2 or 3 best basketball players alive and has been for at least 3 years now. Full stop.

I've been on this Giannis train for awhile now. I remember last year taking some heat for including him in the OPOY category when most scoffed. But he's an absolutely amazing offensive player.

Mind you that I never criticized him for lack of shooting, but for other, bigman related skills. The skills he started to develop last year and he's getting better and better.

Yeah I have to keep reminding myself that most star players don't really peak offensively until their early 30's. Body can still do most of what it did when they were younger, but their skills and understanding of basketball are more fully developed. And for a guy like Giannis who most people look at at his physicality and not his skills, it can be even easier to assume he peaked already.

is why i thinl jokic and embiid are so intriguing too

jokic skillset and intelligence are already Up there with anyone who ever played basketball, the idea of him becoming even smarter is insane

embiid because as gifted as he is, i think he still has a lot of improvements to be made as a decisión maker, how good he could get when he is already a unstopabble scorer and elite defender is absurd

weak Hall class this year. I love Manu, but when he's the lone headliner....

My impression as well, though I didn't think the official list was out yet.

Kid-me is glad Timmy Hardaway is getting in, but unless you're focused on his UTEP 2-step as an innovation, it's hard to look at his HOF case as anything other than borderline.

Ginobili though is a strong Yes.

is a bit dissapointing to see how embiid, giannis and jokic fans are getting so bitter with each other

as a okc fan i have been there, done that back in 2017 with harden or durant hate, is not a fun way to enjoy basketball long term, it gets tiring

Are the Nuggets just stuck with the roster that they have?

Timberwolves did a tremendous job playing what looked like a zone in the 4th quarter against Jokic.

Surprised that the Wolves aren’t higher in the standings. KAT is playing with a tenacity we haven’t seen before. I think a strong argument can be made that he’s the second best offensive C in the league.

Ben Taylor had him 1 spot higher than Embiid but in the same tier.

Yeah, agreed. He may not be the force that Embiid is as a one-on-one scorer but his ability to stretch the floor is unmatched by any other C. Opens up the entire floor for his teammates to attack. Wolves look like a very dangerous team that can upset a few higher seeds in the first round.
