Pathetic defense by Giannis on that last play. Seriously, what did he think here?

I’m confused as to why he’s guarding him at all. He’s too slow as evident in that last play, and too broad to get around screens.

That's true, he's just not good perimeter defender. Excellent help defender, but not quick or nimble enough to defend perimeter players

They tried it last year and it didn't work then either.

Butler needs to stop throwing up these threes.

I haven't seen Butler playing this bad on offensive end in years. It won't happen again, but Miami shot extremely well from three point line at the same time.

I'm starting to lose my faith in Giannis, he's just not elite offensive player in halfcourt set. Still extremely valuable player of course and overall Bucks MVP, but this game showed his limitations again.

Not sure if Giannis should even be called the modern Robinson... that might be a little insulting to DRob

Yeah he still has all the same holes in his game. It's looking like you need a bigger upgrade than Holiday as the lead creator to overcome them.

Adebayo +5
Duncan Robinson +2
Kendrick Nunn +3
Tyler Hero +1
Iggy +1
Dragic +0

Butler, Ariza, Dedmon in negatives.

Probably needed a bit more of Robinson/Dragic to see if you could generate more offense and pull away. Spo lost a tough game.

They needed cp3 imo. But yeah giannis will never be elite offensively. Dude needs to just focus on his strengths and he can have superstar impact in the playoffs. Don’t have him initiating offense. Have him screening, cutting and finishing. He should be trying to be AD not a point guard.

Defensively he can dominate too but even that seems to drop a little in the post season.

If all you need to be great on offense is having better offensive player than you on your team, then yeah you'll never be great offensively ;)

I did say he’ll never be elite offensively, but he can be great overall. He can also be more efficient and less of a liability on offense if used in a way that suits his strengths.

I just meant they needed Paul to win this year. Giannis needs that type of playmaker. Honestly dude should have gone to Dallas.

He has good team around him though - Holiday, Middleton and Lopez are excellent support. If he can't make it work with them, then it's a sign that you can't build around his offense.

Yeah they are good. I’m not saying they can build around his offense, they can’t. You’re saying things I agree with?

This doubling is getting out of hand. The Clippers threw away their chances to win the game by nonsensically doubling Luka in the final minutes of the fourth, leading to easy baskets for Dallas.

Casual fans see Pandemic P

I see Kawhi Leonard NOT leading his team like a Kobe-esque superstar by not playmaking or making his teammates or co-star better, not defending the best player on the other team and getting normal regular season stats that only moderately impact the game
The Greatest of All Time debate in basketball is essentially who has the greatest basketball resume of the player who has the best highlights instead of who is the best player
