Bob Pettit moves up to #14, passing Jerry West in the process. There's a remote chance that he passes up Kobe and Hakeem, but looking at the 1954-55 season summary I'm not sure if he's going to get many (if any) votes seeing as how the Hawks had the worst record in the league.

Just a bit of a bump here, and maybe something you've learned about since then, but Hutchins had a very strong defensive reputation, Yardley called him the best defender he ever played with and Schayes said he was the best man defender he faced.

4th in MVP voting still a bit high for my tastes, but a good player for sure (I see the Pistons as a bit of a group effort from Yardley/Hutchins/Foust - edit: Phillip was a bit earlier, forgot '56 was his fall-off year).

And while I'm here, how I'd go for '56:
1. Arizin
2. Schayes
3. Johnston - tossup vs Pettit
4. Pettit
5. Cousy
