It's still Magic right now comfortably for Me. James needs another title and 2-3 more MVP caliber seasons to pass Magic.

I disagree with the latter part. He doesn't need a title and 2-3 more MVP caliber seasons to pass Magic. A title and/or a MVP caliber season will move him very close and I might have to move LeBron above Magic at that point on my list.

We can agree to disagree. The reason i say he needs a few more mvp-like seasons is because i think magic's prime was better so far, not peak but prime. If Lbj wins 2 more titles then there will no longer be a debate.

I think you would have to believe that Magic was a lot better than LeBron offensively, in order to rank Magic higher, especially if you have 3-spot difference between them.

Magic has 2 more quality seasons (LeBron's 1st year is not "quality"), but playing at a slightly worse level. That's a tossup for me. Next season, barring injury, I will rate LeBron higher than Magic, for sure.

That's where I am headed basically. I wouldn't say for sure but if LeBron produces an MVP caliber season and/or a title I will probably move LeBron ahead of Magic or have them both tied.

I'm with Quotatious: Lebron passed Magic for me just this year (his explanation pretty well coincides with the one I would otherwise provide, too).
