He just put up a 31.5 PER (Only Jordan, Bron, Wilt have had higher) on a 73 win team with a +8.5RPM.

Are we just going to crush him for having 1 bad series where he was probably still a bit injured against a pretty bad matchup for him?

He also missed time in the post-season, which is huge for me.

I'm surprised to see Curry winning the poll honestly.

Regular season goes to Curry, ok, but Playoffs:

Chris Paul: 24.1/4.9/11.3/2.3 .502 FG% .565 TS% 12.3 BPM
Stephen Curry: 25.1/5.5/5.2 .438 FG% .603 TS% 6.4 BPM

Not only that, he also missed games. I see no case for him over 2008 Paul

It looks like the winner is Curry. Nice run by CP3 though!

BTW, do you Quotatious have something against using your threads about picking specific year for a certain player? I don't see a logic for making the same thread after week or two.

In you project we picked 2016 as Curry peak. I think it would be logical to give him that year. I will nake separate threads for guys not included in your project or for guys concidered in multiple years (like 2003 Kobe for 1997-2006 era and 2008 Kobe for 2007-2016). Do you agree with using results of your threads?

This is 08 or 09 Cp3 for me. Not by much, but comfortably.

Should take into consideration the vast gulf in leadership skills and intangibles between Curry and Paul. If Steph is your best player...you still need a leader. The Warriors have two guys they reference as their floor generals before they even begin talking about Steph. Thats very abnormal from a superstar caliber player.

Paul is much, much more of an offensive coordinator, floor commander and rallying presence. More competitive, and a vastly better decision maker. All those intangible qualities make a difference, even when a player may be less talented than his opposition.

I got CP3, just got too much of sour taste from Curry's performance in both playoffs back to back wasn't that great. It's certainly close but going CP3.
