I don't know Oden barefoot height, but Chandler is 6'11 and a half and Kevin Love is 6'8. They are not legit 7 foot and 6'10. Love is similar height as LeBron, maybe James is also listed too short?
DraftExpress had Kevin Love listed (around time of his rookie season) as 6'7.75" without shoes. Granted, that was only around age 20 (about the time that photo was taken: both would have been about 20 years old); it's possible one or both of them grew a little more after that. But it's probably safe to say that Kevin Love's 6'10" listing is
at best an honest
in-shoes height (at worst, it's being a little generous to his actual in-shoes height).
You have to admit, though, that Durant's height easily holds its own against the likes of Chandler, DeAndre, and DMC; and he doesn't look too much shorter than Greg Oden (who DraftExpress lists as 7'0").
fwiw, DraftExpress lists Durant as 6'10" (as a 19-yr-old entering the draft), though fails to specify anywhere whether that's with/without shoes. Though there was also one quote (by Durant himself) listed on DE, where he states he's 6'11" (and again, that's back at age 19).
It's probably safe to say that he's
comfortably north of 6'9" in shoes. In shoes at least, he's likely closer to 7'0" than to the 6'9" listing on bbref.
