Second would be 2010 Kobe.

Kareem/Karl would be 3rd and 4th (not sure who I would say was better - in RS it's Karl, in playoffs it's KAJ).

I'd take Kareem personally. BTW, where would you rank Wilt in this thread?

High. Off the top of my head, I thought Wilt played 13 seasons, not 14, to be honest (well, he missed majority of 1969-70 season, maybe that's the reason why I thought so).

I may have 1973 Wilt third behind LeBron and Kobe. He has a pretty good case over Kareem and Karl.

One item to note is that Kareem played 4 years of college ball, Wilt 3 plus a year as a Globetrotter, Karl Malone 3. They would be older than LeBron and Kobe who came straight out of HS. Not a straight line thing because LeBron and Kobe have a bit more wear since the NBA season is more than twice as long as a college season but something to consider.

Really? Here's some per-100 stats. I can't see any reason to take Kareem over LeBron here.

Kareem83 31.2PTS 10.7REB 03.6AST 1.1STL 3.1BLK 3.6TOV 4.0PF .619TS% 10.9WS .205WS/48
LeBron17 34.9PTS 11.4REB 11.5AST 1.6STL 0.8BLK 5.4TOV 2.4PF .619TS% 12.9WS .222WS/48

Unless you REALLY like blocks....

Here's Kobe added in. Not really sure that he measures up well either.

Kobe..10 35.9PTS 07.1REB 06.7AST 2.1STL 0.4BLK 4.3TOV 3.4PF .545TS% 09.4WS .160WS/48

I'd take Kareem over Malone. My post was about Kareem-Karl comparison. Of course I'd take James (ar least in RS) and Kobe as my top 2.

This is Lebron by a large margin. Obviously the gap is a product of him being a lot younger than most guys. The more interesting question is who was the best 32 year old player.

How about KG? Ability wise he seemed pretty close to his 08 self. How do you feel about him if he stayed healthy?

If he stayed healthy, KG is definitely on that level. Best defender of the bench.

Just gonna assume you made that pun on purpose

Really? We're going to compare near-prime LeBron to Jordan on the Washington Wizards?

Compare them by age, not by seasons played.

Out of curiosity, did you post this in the best rookies project Q is running?

And I hope you have no complaints when people compare LeBron's age based accomplishments to these older players?
