It's true that Barry's a bit of an outlier among the candidates left on the table (Drexler too, actually; and to a lesser degree Gary Payton and Artis Gilmore). However, it's a noisy metric [as well as one I've had some issues with in terms of the methodology Ben used]. So.....grain of salt and all.
otoh, Gervin is very much in the same basic neighborhood by this metric as Baylor, Havlicek, Kidd, and Miller (as well as Isiah Thomas [more or less]: Isiah has a pretty high prime WOWYR, but a nearly neutral career WOWYR......one of the more polarized results to be seen in the metric, actually).
So it's certainly not something that puts Gervin out of contention.
