Vote 1 - Bob McAdoo
Vote 2 - Hal Greer
Vote 3 - Carmelo Anthony

The Rest

Marion
Bosh
Moncrief
Nance
Tiny Archibald
Ben Wallace
Rodman
Gus Williams
Dennis Johnson
Jokic
Walton

McAdoo's MVP season in 75 was quite impressive posting 34.5 PPG, 14.1 RPG, 2.2 APG, 1.1 SPG, 2.1 BPG on 56.9% TS (+6.7 rTS). The Braves would lose in 7 games to the #1 SRS ranked Bullets that year, with a valiant effort by McAdoo: 37.4 PPG, 13.4 RPG, 1.4 APG, .9 SPG, 2.7 BPG, 52.8% TS. He was an efficiency darling in general during his prime with rTS ranging from +3 to +9. I think at this point in the project every player will have their flaws, and his defense comes off more as knocking him down a peg as opposed to a major liability.

The contributions to the lakers 82 and 85 championship teams give him the edge over someone like giannis for me. In the 82 run he put up 16.7 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 1.6 APG, .7 SPG, 1.5 BPG on 58.7% TS. I just don't value short careers, even as impressive as giannis' as much. Anthony Davis got in much higher than I had him, even with the championship run for example.

Just a small notation on the bolded part. It is true, though just marginally less so than is implied by citing their respective TS%.
League avg TS% was a pinch lower in Hill's prime relative to the other two [by around 0.8-1.0%]......so his rTS% is that much closer to them.
He's still the least efficient, but jsia.

Turnover economies [for full careers, anyway] are very similar for all; according to my mTOV% [Modified TOV%] it goes: Worthy > Moncrief > Hill......but the margin even between Hill and Worthy is pretty small.

Notice that 91-92, his first year without Magic, his efficiency fell off the table, dropping almost 100 points from his prime (while his shots taken stayed reasonably constant). One reason I didn't include that season in his prime. Sort of like the effect Marion got from playing with Nash. Great PG's help great finishers an awful lot is sort of my takeaway.

As for efficiency, I was actually surprised Hill was as strong as he was in the RS; I had him pegged more like his playoff efficiency. My numbers aren't perfect anyway as I don't have a searchable database and sort of eyeball them to get the rough averages which is why I round to the nearest half. They are more to get a feel for the kind of player these guys were.

Wasn't 1991-92 the season Worthy carried on playing through that ankle injury and a knee injured was added on later?
Considering how unhealthy Worthy was, I don't think we can draw such conclusion from his career post Magic.
The issue with per75 numbers;
36pts on 27 fga/9 fta in 36 mins, does this mean he'd keep up the efficiency to get 48pts on 36fga/12fta in 48 mins?
The answer; NO. He's human, not a linearly working machine.
Per75 is efficiency rate, not actual production.

I don't think there's any doubt that Worthy was helped by getting to play with probably the greatest pg of all time for his entire prime but I think he was incredibly skilled as well which is why he was the #1 pick in his draft. Also, his playoff scoring numbers were consistently great and if you look at playoff win shares in the 85-90 period they would add up as follows:

Magic: 13.6
Worthy: 9.4
KAJ: 7.2
Scott: 6.0
Green: 5.6

With Worthy being second to Magic in 85, 87, 88 and 90 and tied for 1st in 89. Not any player(even top 100 caliber) can just step in and give a championship team that level of production.

Thru post #25:

Shawn Marion - 2 (penbeast0, trex_8063)
Bob McAdoo - 2 (Clyde Frazier, Odinn21)
Larry Nance - 1 (sansterre)
Dennis Rodman - 1 (Hal14)
Nikola Jokic - 1 (Dutchball97)
Hal Greer - 1 (Cavsfansince84)
Bill Walton - 1 (HeartBreakKid)

9 votes [5 required for majority]. Bottom five are eliminated, which transfers one vote to Marion and one to McAdoo [the others are ghosted].

McAdoo - 3
Marion - 3
(ghosted) - 3

As per protocol, in this situation we go with whichever of these two is leading in Condorcet......which is McAdoo [leads Marion 5-4].
I'll get the next up in a moment.....

Re: 1992. Didn't remember the injuries, it also could have been age catching up, there are always multiple explanations because real life is complicated.
