This is true basically, but every championship team has solid role players that are good fits. Randolph in particular is just an absolutely dreadful fit. His lack of any effort whatsoever defensively really wouldn't fly with Jordan. It would either cause an explosive locker room, or Randolph would actually get motivated and not suck.
But since Randolph is kind of known as a follower, motivating him might not be so hard, given that he has a leader like Jordan. If he can get motivated to at least play decent D (every player in the league is physically capable of at least being a passable defender), and to not be a black hole, he could be a decent role player with his mid-range shot spreading the floor and his rebounding. But I also agree with whoever said to start Kwame over Randolph. This would allow Duncan to not have to worry about guarding the other teams best post player, and to use his shotblocking more, and it would put Zach in a role better suited for him.
Davis is guy that can potentially be really solid defensively if properly motivated.
