The Celtics are a very bad match up for the Lakers

So the Mavs went through 5 games of this. I could see how one might panic and get desperate to change up the formula. Is torture to feel so helpless. Rui would actually have been huge to occupy one of these big bodies.

LeBron out with a groin strain. Luka doesn't look right either.

Not the time for injuries to start piling up.

No Rui or Hayes, hobbled Luka, and LeBron clearly off shooting the ball today and leaves the game down only 4 with an injury, in Boston. Granted, no KP.

Not too bad a game frankly.

Of course. Things were going waaay too good.

Flashback to 2019 when he had a groin strain and missed 17 games.. sigh I hope it's not that bad. All of that first team All-NBA talk :(

That was when he said he "heard a pop" wasn't it?

I don't think it was something as bad but it still might be a couple of weeks

Defense and offense wins chips. lakers only have one piece of the puzzle. like the nash/amare suns. You gotta get stops against the big dogs. Offense only gets you to the conference finals maybe and then reality hits. Outscoring the teams only works against the bum bottom feeders and middle of the road teams. . it doesn't work against the top elite teams of the league (thunder, cavs, celtics etc).

lebron/donic isn't a good pairing cause neither guy plays D. Its why MJ/pippen worked so well for years. Goat offense/Goat defense and the right pieces around them. If I was the lakers i would have done a Lebron/Wemby or luka/wemby combo if they could have swung within the next few years. That win's ships. Not two offensive dudes they don't play a lick of D

Someone missed the past two months.
Only 7 Players in NBA history have 21,000 points, 5,750 assists and 5,750 rebounds. LeBron has double those numbers.

What do you mean? Lakers won't get past the conference finals. thats their ceiling with this team. thunder will beat them in 5.. At least with AD they had a shot to the finals because of the mismatches hes causes down low.. They will have a good post season but will ultimately lose against the first top dog elite team they run into

Early word is LeBron could be out for weeks. Yikes....

The fact that he had been so healthy the past couple of seasons at 39 and 40 with his load was unrealistic as it is. This was always on the cards.

Any muscle injury requires around 2 weeks at minimum. Best case he will be back in late march

He didn't sound too concerned in his post-game interview and said it's not as bad as in 2018.

Overreaction aside it might be time for Luka to buy into an offensive system because he isn't beating the Cs with pick up basketball. It sometimes looked like 07 Lebron going up against the Spurs. You'll get the numbers but rarely the usual impact.

Having 4 starters injured within a week or two is crazy. Hard to predict how they fare but Lebron was already the best true 2way player in the starting lineup. Might look like one of Luka's old Mav teams till he returns. Win or lose Luka/Reaves duo will be must watch tv.
