Donovan is such an awful coach.

Anyone with a working pair of eyes knows Morrow needs much more minutes especially with the lack of spacing for Kd/Westbrook.

Payne/Westbrook minutes as a backcourt is a nobrainer as well. Dude is really dumb sometimes.

He figured it out for like two months, then went with Foye and Waiters....its a bottom 20 RAPM lineup. :banghead:

I don't think I've watched enough of him to say definitively unfortunately. I believe 2015 is his overall peak, lacking the same athleticism but with clearly superior shooting and decision-making. I'm not opposed to saying 2016 is the better season, but at first blush he was out of shape to start the season and I don't want to go crazy over his box score production given Griffin was out unless I have a reason to believe he couldn't do that last year as well.

If Chris Paul was truly this good in 08 or 09 I'd be surprised. I think his last 2 seasons have been absolutely masterful and the best of his career.

His chemistry with Jordan is INSANE. There was a play last game where Jordan didn't even look back; he just jumped and the lob pass was right where he thought it'd be. I don't think I've seen anything like that ever.

I'd take the last two seasons over 2008 but definitely not over 2009 that was just completely different level of basketball. That team was truly horrendous with bad coaching and him carrying the team to 49 wins was mind boggling.

CP3 was actually at his best at the start of the 2009-10 season. His jumper looked way better and he had peak athleticism. He messed up his ankle badly against Portland though and tried playing through it. By the time he started looking like himself again he had an even worse Hornets team in the playoffs but then he ran into a camera and nothing was ever the same.

I think comparing 08/09 Paul with like the recent versions is like comparing 09/10 LeBron with Miami LeBron. Youthful energy, insane motor and peak athleticsm vs. refined game, improved shooting, smarter & more experienced.

Either way you're getting a beast.

How many games doees curry have to miss before it starts affecting his ranking in your opinions?

I dont think most would have him at 1 if he didnt come back, What if he returns in game 4 of next series and they lose in 7? Stuff like that some people are hoping he doesnt return until the warriors lose a game period but I just want to see him look healthy ASAP

For the Houston series I give him a pass. If he misses any time against the Clippers then I might think about holding the injury against him. I do think he will be back sooner than later. Hopefully he's 100% instead of 75 or 80.

Yeah I agree

On a sidenote Chris Paul has looked Damn good against the blazers lately, if he continues to do well vs them and has a good scoring series and Westbrook slips up offensively I might vote Paul over Goatbrook. I mean he is older so the beginning of the season could get the same kind of " he was coasting but look at him now" talk we had about lebron in 14, though paul isnt on that level

Well, I think that'd depend on how other players in contention of his spot are playing in the playoffs, too. I'd have to decide at the time, but I'd be surprised if he falls out of the #1 spot for me. Of course I hope he comes back regardless of the ranking, though.

Miami with a crazy 136.9 ORTG (~135 w/team TOs) on Charlotte through two games. Currently the highest ORTG in any series ever since 1984 (record is 127.3 by Phoenix in 1st round of 95 playoffs).

I've been rolling my eyes at the notion that Miami could beat a healthy Cleveland, but this makes me at least ponder the possibility.

Man, people would crucify LeBron if he lost that series.

If you're referencing my post I actually just meant he should be held out for the Houston series. Game 1 of R2 he should go if he can, you can afford to be cautious against Houston.

Like Paulie I would have a hard time holding this against him given his opponent sucks and the Beverly thing I mentioned earlier
