You really don't want to use offensive rating as a barometer, because Paul demolishes Deron. The only difference in team offensive comes when they both sit, and the Jazz continue to roll, and the Hornets fall off a cliff.
Yeah, that certainly makes the case for Paul doesn't it? He's so great at leading his team...that they are complete dogsh*t when he is not in the game. Say, that means Michael Jordan of 1987 was better than Michael Jordan of 1997, right? Because his teammates played worse before he learned how to lead them, right?
Your arguments are getting pathetic and old and your logic is as flimsy as Bob Dole waiting on a refill...

Excuse for for just one moment.

Ok, sorry about that.... So wait, let me get this straight- the argument you're resorting to now is that Williams is better because his team suffers less when he's off the floor?
So you're saying that this has nothing to do with Williams being less good than Paul and the Jazz having more talent and depth as team, but is instead of result of some sort of psychic mojo where Deron Williams takes over their bodies and spirits and influences to play well while he's on the bench? And that's why you think the '97 Bulls are better than the '87 Bulls? Not because Rodman and Pippen are far better players than Orlando Woolridge and Dave Corzine, but because MJ learned to psychically make his teammates play well even when he wasn't in the game?
ROFLMAO. I guess Paul's leadership sucks because he couldn't make the Hornets win during the 50 games he was injured last year by whispering sweet nothings into the ears of Darren Collison and blowing kisses at Peja Stojakovic's corpse. Deron Williams is such a great leader he makes his teammates better when he isn't on the court with the power of positive thinking and fluffy pink bunnies.
I have to hand to it to you, up to now I thought you were serious, and just really stupid and biased. But now I see that you can't POSSIBLY be serious because this is the dumbest argument I've ever seen. It makes your argument about how Paul's teammates are better because they are drafted higher look intelligent and reasonable in comparison. Wow.
Well done.

Yes you did, and it was so embarassingly dumb that I'm not surprised you'd deny it.

When talking about what I said, you mentioned Williams about 8 times. I didnt even say Deron's name one time. Not to mention you are the King of making inferences rather than reading and comprehending. Again....think before you make yourself look like a fool....it will do wonders for you in your personal life.

Deron averages 38 min a game. I have a hard time taking a small sample size of 10 min a game, extrapolating that to 48per and making significant statistical conclusions.

Maybe he was better at minor stuff like playing basketball but he certainly wasn't better at what really matters, which is psychically enhancing his teammates' abilities so they play well when he's on the bench.
That's how you measure true NBA greatness apparently.
The other day the Knicks went on a 10-0 run when Timofey Mozgov stepped off the floor. That's because Mozgov is a better leader than Chris Paul, whose team sucks when he's on the bench due to his crappy leadership.

Then I'll guess you'll just have to rely on the previous 5 years of stats which show CP3 to be a superior player.
DWill_daShizzle wrote:The 1 playoff victory in 5 years really strengthens his case, too...for those who think winning is secondary to stats in determining greatness. Hey, Shariff Abdur-Rahim was a statistical beast, too. Is he one of your favs, too?

Hey, I guess you think Isiah Thomas is better than Michael, Larry, and Magic since he beat them more in the playoffs than they beat him.
