There was three people I was deciding between, but I'll go with this guy because he was a better defender imo.

Thank you for picking Derrick Rose.

For my last pick I am going with another big time pressure defender, who was also a very good shooter, Michael Adams.

He used to make Magic his girlfriend every time they played. So I hope I get that matchup in the first round, should be an easy win :)

I don't intend to give him extended minutes, but he is a talented guy, who gives me VERSATILITY and athleticism on both ends of the court. Another valuable team defender.

OK, I'm gonna have the tallest player in this project, whether anybody expected this or not.

I'm taking Gheorghe Muresan. This guy was 7-7, led the league in FG% two straight seasons, and made his presence felt on both ends of the floor.

Im going with another point guard who can play off ball. This guy is going to be concentrated on 3pt shooting and defense and not alot of scoring like he did in those terrible offensive Bulls teams in the 2000s. He can also defend shooting guards. Im going with Kirk Hinrich for my final pick.

You guys still have to choose years of your drafted players. After both of you do that, we can finally randomize the matchups and get this thing started.

I'm posting here because you may have overlooked that fact in the discussion thread.

Hey if it's alright, could I volunteer as a judge? This is a really cool idea and I think it would be a lot of fun to evaluate the matchups.

Yea, I think they're looking for more judges. You should post in the discussion thread.

Just one comment: from the draft, I knew that if you couldn't net a C or a PG in the first round (or Ewing, DH and Nash in the second), you'd better wait. til the later rounds. Defensive centers are more valuable in these kind of games than scoring center... If you waited, you could have a stacked wing/pf core and Ben Wallace/Mark Eaton/Bogut/Chandler in the 4th round and Price/Porter/Dennis Johnsos/Deron Williams running the show.

PG is a stacked position. There are tons of PG's that can run a team and shoot, and even if they are not all time greats, they'd probably guard Stockton or Kidd at the end of the day, and having Wallace covering their weakness.

Didn't possibly imagine that Deron Williams would fall that much, though.

Agreed. I'm very happy that I was able to draft Alonzo in the second round. Artis Gilmore (drafted at #34) and Yao Ming (#44), in the third round, were really the last available guys who could be even remotely thought of as 'dominant centers', although Zo and Dwight were the last dominant two-way centers in their primes. Artis was in his prime in the 70s, and even though he was still a very good player in the early 80s, he already lost a step by that time. Yao was only eligible for his first three seasons in the league, and although he was also pretty good, his best years were injury-plagued and thus ineligible here.

Jack Sikma was also a pretty good two-way player, but he wasn't really dominant. Like a worse version of Pau Gasol, overall.

There were only 6 truly dominant two way centers in their primes available - Shaq, Hakeem, D-Rob, Ewing, Zo and Dwight, so those who were able to take them, should feel very happy about it. Obviously Moses was also a force, but except one season (1982-83), he wasn't a dominant defender. Well, he wasn't even a very good defender in 1981 and '82. I'm really happy that he didn't fell to my pick, because it'd be very difficult not to take him, and I didn't really want a starting center who wasn't a dominant defender. I had already drafted a leading scorer for my team (Kobe), so I didn't need another offensive anchor inside, but rather a dominant defensive presence.

1. Hakeem Olajuwon (94-96)

Was just looking over some of the players and I think you need to correct the years of eligibility for Hakeem for Notanoob's team. That should be '93-'95 Hakeem, not '94-'96. '93 Hakeem is obviously a different animal from '96 Hakeem.

There may be others that I overlooked but this one was pretty easy to spot.
