Just sniffed and got a whiff of a Houston - Boston finals, hmm. Exactly as we all predicted.

Yeah, they can't afford this type of play from Middleton. Giannis hasn't been super impressive aswell

George Karl saying his piece. He's had some misgivings too if I recall with some teams/players but coming in from the top rope.

Bodying Mark Jackson is pretty easy, but yeah. Jackson's coaching was so poor that the only thing worse is his announcing.

That whole thing was classic Jackson. He made a dumb argument ("people were wrong about Melo being a poor defender for years because of this one possession on which he gave an effort"), JVG shut it down immediately, and rather than just admit he was wrong he tries to come up with some other BS to cover it up. I doubt he was even thinking about Karl in that moment.

Didn't even hear it but Jackson says he wasn't.

Exactly, he took one defensive possession where Melo gave good effort, extrapolated that to his entire career, and then, when that got shot down, tried to act like it wasn't Melo's fault that he never gave good enough effort. Ended up sounding like he blamed his coaches, which Karl rightfully took issue with.

Melo never gave consistent effort on defense, that's always been his issue. Part of it was understandable, he was the offensive star on his team, and so he saved energy on defense. Now in Portland, he's not asked to do much more other than exploit the occasional mismatch and knock down 3s. He doesn't really have an excuse not to try on defense...especially since he was on his way out of the league if he didn't get picked up by Portland.

"How many of my teams became dynasties right after I left?" LMAO, he got him good.

I want him to get a coaching job again purely because I don't want to hear his commentary anymore...but then that means he probably gets hired by the Nets, which is even worse.

This is pretty much why everyone wants him to get a job

The Jackson/Kerr swap will go down as the worst trade in history.

Replaced one of the best color commentary guys with one of the worst, and then created the GS monster that was terrible for everyone except Warriors fans.

Kerr was so freaking good on TV. Hopefully when Steph ages out he decides to go back instead of just retiring(I can't imagine with his health he takes another coaching job, though I guess he could get another FO job).

I was really hoping that Kerr would fail as a coach so he'd return to commentating, he was so awesome as a commentator.

Utah is more experienced in the playoffs than Denver when injuries are being equal

Utah took the foot off a bit at the end, but up 17 is a fine place to be.

Conley has turned into Curry after he became a father.
