I'm pretty pleased with the offensive/defensive balance of this team.

MJ/Reggie/Giannis/Artis so far, with Bowen off the bench.

Good work, Barkley and Chamberlain are going to be a force down low.

My roster is currently this:

SG: Clyde Drexler
SF:
PF: Anthony Davis
C: Bill Russell

Manu and Iggy on the bench

I think building around Bill Russell is an extreme challenge. He takes up FGA similar to some of the "two-way" centers, yet offensively, he is likely to be seen as a sleeve by many. However, because of Bill's great winning success, I tried to assemble a culture around Russell that included winners, team first players, and playoff performers.

Perception is tough here. I agree on Russell. Likewise, I had to surround Barkley with quality defenders to avoid the judges giving me an L due to his defensive shortcomings. We know Wilt is polarizing, too. I also can't add a ball dominant point guard, because Wilt / Barkley / Moncrief are all quality facilitators and I would get diminishing returns. Spacing is obviously important. It's a balancing act. Fortunately, I have been thrifty with my FGA and have room to work with.

Drexler is a good pick for you. Quality all around player who I really like.

There was another SG/SF I was thinking about but he had ~5 more FGA than Drexler and that isn't something I want to add at this moment.

I strongly disagree. On offense KB and DW are one (at least) level above Clyde and on defense Drexler isn't even close. He is totally different tier than these two. His killer instinct/mentality/clutch is also significantly worse (he was often outplayed in playoffs by his own teammate - Terry Porter, great pick here BTW).

I don't disagree, but remember Clyde put up 25/8/5 against Michael Jordan and the 1992 Bulls in the Finals. This game is about PEAKS, not careers, but like anything on here, it is subjective.

I admittedly had to "reach" on Battier and McMillan. There aren't many 6 FGA, impact two-way players.

Not even close on defense? I totally disagree. People are misled by his lack of All-D bids but that had something to do with MJ/Pippen stealing his thunder for a decade. I would put him a tier ahead of Kobe in terms of defensive impact, and similar to DWade.
