(I mean how do we know that Randolph has "IT" and Beasley doesn't have "IT"?)

"IT" is the energy, heart and focus that he shows... "IT" has been explained about a million times butt some people seem to only remember what they want to remember.

And that makes him different from Brian Cardinal how?

I guess Udonis Haslem has that "IT" factor too.

I think it's a combination of all those things plus great talent. The complete package if you will. Maybe Randolph will never reach his potential but I think his ceiling is higher than a Tayshaun Prince, for example.

BTW I don't blame most of you for getting frustrated. Oaktown is getting on my nerves and we're on the same side.

I think a lot of Gms are going to be criticized for not drafting the "IT" GOAT Tyler Hansborough

Well the Warriors camp is already shot to ****. I wouldn't be surprised if AR demanded to be traded next. All is NOT well in Warriorland. Its going to be a long year.

Help us Anthony's, you're our only hopes.

Besides, I want him to be at his best when Randolph and the Dubz smash on Miami. :P

People are underrating Randolph's offensive ability. Yes, he is raw, and erratic at times. But he also played really well at the end of the season. He was hitting his jumper out to 20 feet. He was pushing the ball in transition with confidence. He even posted up and finished or created for his teammates. So no, while he's not a Chris Bosh/Amare Stoudamire on offense, he's not Andris Biedrins either. With his great work ethic and learning curve, I expect him to increase his efficiency and play more under control this year. Anyone who says Randolph can't create for himself, has clearly only watched youtube. Don't fake the funk, just don't make comments about things you haven't seen thus far.

Beasley's game is more suited for personal accolades, while Randolph's game is better suited for championships. I'll take a championship anyday
.
Care to elaborate?

For the simple fact that defense is still half the game. Beasley, by most accounts in the media and watching him, is a poor defender. His effectiveness will be based on how well he can score. Not shut down his opponent. I still stick by my observation that Beasley and Carmelo have a lot of similarities. They're focused mostly on scoring. How effective he can put the ball through the hoop will determine how good he will be.

Randolph on the other hand plays balls out on both ends of the court. If he can put it together and reach his potential, he will impact the game in a multitude of ways. Both guys can, and probably will be built around by their respective organizations. I just tend to think that Randolph will have a more dynamic impact on the game, where Beasley's impact will be dependent on how effectively he will score.

LSU had notoriously selfish guard play that year. What Beasley did in college was amazing, and also pretty rare. Most freshman don't step in and dominate the competition like he did. It also helps that he was a man amongst boys. And that's a compliment, not a snide remark.

Context matters though. The Warriors had/have a multitude of problems and it all starts at the top from Cohan, Rowell and Don Nelson. They all contribute to the screwy-ness that is this franchise. Add in the fact that we had an abnormal amount of injuries and Voila! 29 win season.

Miami is an older team, plays in a weaker conference, has a top 5 player to help Beasley, and a head coach who probably doesn't drink a handle of scotch before each game (sarcasm).

So if we claimed Randolph was 6'11-7'0..

And if Biedrins is 6'11..

Then doesn't this picture..

Nevermind.

It was also reported that Beans grew an inch after he was drafted...

If anything, the picture shows that Randolph has a slight edge

Image

Randolph's buzzed head lines up with the top of Biedrins gelled up hair. Obviously this isn't completely accurate because of how their heads might be tilted, but you get the point..

He has shown the whole "IT" factor that very few players in the league have.

Once you and Wade2k7 watch one of his games I'm sure you will start to get it.
