All I would say is check out the elimination games and look at Malone's performances in relation to those of his team-mates. It's not quite the consistent litany of mediocrity Malone's rep might suggest.

you dont need to check malones choke job, his longetitivty imo hurted him more then him sustaining his career avgs, stayin longer in the nba or when jordan was insignificant on the wizards, can the malone supporters say why he couldnt win from 98/99 to his final season with the utah jazz b4 jumping to the lakers in 03/04 to be a role player...he couldnt win post jordan era, Post jordan bulls, malone was just another good player posting up meaningless stats....why should he be bump up in the rankings cause he sticked around longer while continue with his production but didnt deliver. The young PFS during the duncan era aka webber, dirk, kg etc were actually playing better then malone from 98/99 onwards...statistics wise

Awesome, always nice to see the vote go the same way that I voted. Grats to Magic and West (2 of the greatest Lakers of all time).

The next thread is going to be very interesting and exciting. I have a feeling it is going to be a really hard fought battle between Wilt, Shaq, and Duncan. Of course now that Magic has been voted in, people are going to feel Bird needs to go as well (since many think they go hand in hand (I disagree)). So he will probably be in the running as well. I am interested to see if Wilt drops. Initially I had him ranked as #5, but after reading some of the arguments I am starting to lean towards Duncan, but I shall see.

As for the next nomination, I imagine now that West has been put in, a lot of his voters are going to switch to Oscar (I know I will be), since those two usually get compared, so I imagine it is going to be hard fought between Oscar and Garnett in the next round, with a few votes for Lebron, DRob, Mikan, and maybe even a Barkley sighting.

Should be interesting and I am excited. This project has been lots of fun and very educational up to this point, let's hope it continues.

Thanks for doing the counting
