Can you imagine if after everything that happened in this season they get HCA in the first round?

Honestly, 6th seed is probably more preferable than 4th. Ideally, it's Clippers/Suns in the 4/5 so they beat each other up, and the Kings in the 3rd seed are an easier opponent than either of those other two.

I want to see the KD/Kawhi match up again, and of course the Russ factor. I think Clippers are probably best suited to guard the Suns and if they're able to knock them out, that would be great. That also leaves the Clippers on the same side of the bracket as the Nuggets, who have their number.

So, in an ideal world, the Clippers knock out the Suns, then get knocked out by the Nuggets, and the Lakers face the Nuggets in the WCF, and I generally like that match up for the Lakers.

I think trying to aim for a lower spot in the standings for favorable matchups isn't guaranteed to work the way you expect it to. The seedings are so close you can't really on landing a particular team as your opponent.

It won't be, he kept playing on it. I think it was sore and he heard a pop that made him drop out of concern. But joints can pop and creak under stress sometimes.

Sounds like it was more than a grade 1 sprain (which he usually misses no time for).

Grade 2 sprain would have him out between 2 and 4 weeks

He will be fresh for play-in but hopefully Lakers can make it

Have faith in the Vando.

I'd love for a healthy Lakers squad to miss the playoffs, but injuries are not it.

Crazy to think Dallas couldn't guard a year 20 Lebron who was playing on an injured ankle....

I think young Lebron is averaging around 40 ppg in this era of spacing, handicapped defenses, and faster pace

Lebron is sadly getting old and this will likly be a recurring thing unless he can rest more often and play less minutes

Sadly AD is his co-star an that makes it nearly impossible due to his own health issues

Just awful timing too, we were starting to get hot and I thought we were going to make the push now

Still have some winnable games, but a lot of these would be near locks imo with Lebron (and D'lo)

Jut sickening, not sure what the next step is this summer

midfoot i think

probably a partial tear in lisfranc, they will be careful with him from here i think. My guess is 3 weeks (9 games).

Even before the Mavericks game the last game he was kind of slow and gimpy around the court. If only the Lakers hadn’t blown so many games earlier — even two or three more wins right now will provide some cushion as long as Anthony Davis please like the MVP type player he can be and gets the Lakers some wins.

Team depth should get them wins.

DLo, Beasley, TBJ, Vando, Davis
Schroeder, Lonnie, Reaves, Rui, Bamba

24-23 with LeBron. 5-9 without. But that was with a different roster. If he misses say 9 games they really need to somehow win at least 5 of them. Hambone’s horrid coaching and Westbrook cost them a ton of games they should have won and now there’s no margin for error.

Pelicans without Zion, Warriors without Curry/Wiggins/Dray, Timberwolves without KAT...a lot of teams missing key players. No reason Lakers can't be competitive too

Am a bit worried what they look like without DLo too though.

No playmaking outside of Schroeder and Reaves.

This is where trading Bev for Bamba hurts a little more.

They will end up pick up Wall from waivers.. just watch

Think they have enough now to be in the upper play in bracket even if Lebron misses the whole thing

I’m really hoping this mavs game has turned the corner for AD.

He had Bev, Nunn, WB, and Lonnie around him during that December MVP stretch. I’m cautiously excited to see him as the focal point with this new squad.
