You aren’t real

Hate to clog the 142-page reaction thread by “insecurely” laughing at a troll. :wavefinger:

It's less about the 1-2 replies (we all do it) and more about getting into a multipage discussion with a clear troll. Yes they should be dealt with, but feeling the need to 'prove' them wrong or yourself right is a fruitless exercise imo.

Saying it's insecure is not really the right term, it's just pointless.

At this point is it maintenance mode till end of the season? No meaningful movement outside of dropping to 10th.

Hadn't looked into it enough but a big push right now won't really yield anything. Just avoid Sac basically.

If Draymond‘s back is still acting up, and he can’t go, that would also be a pretty big factor.

Without Vando/Reddish there's just no defensive talent on this team outside of Davis. They've gone full 2018 CLE...all offense.

The moment Vando went down there chances of going on a "great" run went with him. The west being so unforgiving means theyre stuck in play-in and probably in the 9-10.

This team has almost no two-way players. It forces them to yo-yo from one extreme to another depending on who is getting more minutes. They've "solved" the offensive issues by going back to the DLo-Reaves backcourt, but now they can't guard a door because Vando and Reddish are out. When those guys were playing, they were good defensively but the spacing was crap.

It's why I still can't stop myself bashing my head in from the stupidity of giving away KCP and Caruso. Imagine the difference those two would make on this team right now.

Another great performance wasted. Fadeaway nailed it, though. No real two way players on this team. Lebron, while NOT as bad as some people claim is not that guy anymore on defense. And AD just isn't THAT guy offensively, anymore. Vando and Reddish, the two best defenders, being out has just killed this team. Oh well.

That Westbrick trade was the end of any serious attempt at contention. They gave away the trade equity of 4-5 first round picks for that ass clown because those were the contracts necessary to cobble together and match his albatross of a deal.

How much better this team would be with KCP, Caruso, and Kuzma instead of the poo-poo platter of role players they have now? I'd say they would be somewhere between 4-6 and would be a real threat to make a run to the Finals.

How did this same team go 18-8 to end the 2023 RS and then make the WCF with an injured LeBron/Davis vs now being this inconsistent with a HEALTHY LeBron/AD?

Yes I know Schroeder was lost and there have been other injuries but I refuse to believe all that negates having the best versions of the big 2 since 2020.

Something just doesn't make any sense.

A lot of it is just the conference itself being healthier and stronger. Memphis being a disaster due to injury has been offset by OKC and MIN making huge leaps. Lebron and AD being healthy is offset by The Clippers getting a healthy Kahwi and The Pels getting a healthy Zion.

I mean the Kings were a 3 seed last year while winning just 48 games. Last season the conference was wide open because EVERYONE (sans Denver) was a mess. This year its competitive because everyone is actually competent and healthy.

From a talent stand LA is actually less talented than they were at this time last year. They basically have no good defenders after AD healthy.

Ya the West is stronger this year. The Lakers need to go 7-7 to match their record last year so they'll probably slightly exceed it.

Although with the Wolves and Clippers' injuries, I'd argue that the conference isn't much stronger once the playoffs start.
