The LeBron James - 21-22 Regular Season Thread - New Thread Soon Part 2

Post#2941 » by Greyhound » Sat Jan 8, 2022 4:14 am

THT is a bad basketball player. He is a ball stopper who cannot do anything if the ball is not in his hands. He is a poor athlete and he has a low motor. On top of all of that he has a low basketball IQ and he is a laughable team defender.

Only star isolation players (or all defensive level specialists) can get by with those negative characteristics.

Westbrook appears to be squaring up on some gambling debts tonight.

Giving Tht that contract and letting Caruso go for cheap at the same time has to be one of the worst simultaneous blunders in recent times

I predict that if a trade is not found for THT before the deadline he will be out of the rotation entirely (seated next to Kent Bazemore).

Surely the coaching staff has to see how bad he is and they’re playing him simply to keep whatever trade value he still has.

Monk has been the brightest of bright spots in this mediocre season.

The Lakers will not be able to afford him next season.

I’ve read many posts this season in the Lebron thread that Malik Monk needs to be dropped, always thought that was crazy. Glad those posts stopped now.

I wonder what we can get for THT, Nunn, and 2nds (maybe even that 2027 1st)

What do you guys think is reasonable

Here is one thing though, Nunn could be Monks replacement if he is gone this summer

This deserves to be a loss. The effort is embarrassing.

Offense is so stagnant at times

Not only that, it was an obvious blunder to all of us. It wasn't even a blunder in hindsight.

Not enough minutes for Westbrook, Monk, Reeves, Bradley, THT and Nunn when he returns.

Then there is Ellington & Bazemore riding the pine.

Ideal move to fix this logjam would be to get rid of Westbrook.

It appears that all the LeBron off the ball offense has been thrown out the window the last two games. He is back to high pick and roll/step back three offense.

Bron's jumper has taken a dive. Wonder if playing the 5 is hitting his legs and affecting the jumper

Wont happen sadly

Could we get Barnes for THT, Nunn (who should have positive value to a 3rd team that is contending) and a 2nd or 2?

Russ, Monk, Barnes, Lebron, AD
Avery, Reaves, Johnson/Ariza/Melo, Dwight

Westbrook is doing less on ball work, probably to limit turnovers. Lebron will be less efficient but team is probably better for it.

Westbrook +20 and Bron is at +0 in this game so far. I think the change is a good one and Bron will adjust.
