People made it seem like this guy wouldn't be able to finish at the rim past 30. Lebron's hater base probably has the highest amount of casuals in anything. Weird because it's usually the opposite.

Still think we're a player short but Wood has been a revelation. Shout-out Cam Reddish tho, been playing about B to B+ wing defense all season. He's been pretty dreadful offensively but his fluidity and agility for his size is an absolute marvel and it shows on the defensive end.

I'll admit, I turned it off after the first quarter. In my defense, I'm an east coast guy and work usually ends up coming too soon every freaking morning :) But, wow. What a turnaround. Lebron obviously found his three stroke, since he was 0 for 2, in the first quarter. Very nice win. Year 21 and he's still doing this ****. Unbelievable.

The Wood thing is another feather-in-the-cap of LeBron James. He is just so good at getting these marginalized players to fully buy in to something larger than themselves. He had Lonnie Walker last year, J.R. Smith in Cleveland, Hell Kyrie was normal in Cleveland, Late Career Dwight, ect.

Didn't see the full game but it seems like Bron started slow again.

4th quarter stats are mind blowing. 5-6 FG and a bunch of rebounds and assists.

Good he can keep his energy for late in the game, it's just concerning that LA is always losing at the half. They need to figure out ways to be better when not playing Bron ball, cause Bron ball might get em far but not the promised land.

He appeared heavier in 11. The thing is LBJ 09 and 10 was so damn athletic that even a slight more weight is noticeable.

He then lost some weight and looked better by 12 and 13. Then he sustained.

I believe now with age/injuries the decline is bigger, but even with that he's still a freak. Just not as much of a freak as he once was.

Call me crazy but I think he'll still be very capable of 25/7/7 type of lines until 2025.

True but yesterday,a huge part was because it was a overtime game and 4 rotation player was out for the lakers...But yeah,they need to play much better when LBJ is on the bench

The lakers are going to need to be much better in the first quarter soon...They were down by at least 12 points after the first quarter in 4 of their first 5 games so far

To be fair the Lakers have had an insane SOS to start the year.

Denver
Phoenix
Sacramento
Clippers

All projected playoff teams/ contenders.

They should be actually pretty happy they are 3-2 and could have been 4-1. But came at a cost of playing AD 40 minutes a game and breaking Lebron's minutes limit.

@Orlando
@Miami
@Houston
@Phoenix
Portland
Memphis
Sacramento
@Portland
Houston
Utah

Next 10 games. They should go at least 7-3 in these and build up a nice buffer in the standings which given how stacked the West is will be useful.

Honestly their schedule until like Mid December is pretty good. Portland twice, Houston 3 times, San Antonio twice.

True dat. There's no one else in NBA history I truly think would have been able to wrangle together last year's and 2018s runs after complete roster turnover from both a strategic and emotional sense.

I remember listening to JJ Reddick interviewing Kyle Korver on his podcast and one thing that stuck out to me was Korver's belief that LeBron's true superpower is being able to rejuvenate himself mentally and come in ready to work the next day no matter what happens. I think we see signs creeping in of the mental fatigue like him musing about just calling it quits after the loss last year; but clearly it's inspiring to role players to the point that a near 20 year vet at that point thought it was something wholly unique compared to all the other players he's seen.

I'd imagine that the guys with their backs against the wall when it comes to their career see that and automatically pick their game up as far as not letting days go to waste. Cuz that's what it really comes down to with those dudes, consistency. Often it's that the talent is there but the next level consistency in showing up to work hard on the floor and in the film room is what's missing.

The most encouraging part of the game by far to me is that there was a stretch in the second half where LeBron went to the bench and the players went on a 13-4 run and cut down the Clipper lead while LeBron was sitting.

The offense is annoying to me because I like to see a lot of the off-ball stuff that other teams do but the Lakers never run. But I find that off-ball stuff is gimmicky in a sense in that they get gameplanned easier against in a series and get shuts down often late in games. The pick and roll heavy offense looks janky but at least it provides a baseline level of offensive consistency when they use the right sets vs the current defensive alignment

The three big lineup went hard lol

Our spacing can be a bit off at times when we run 5 out and don’t do any weakside stuff and they stunt on our drives, but brons so good at operating out of that alignment in general
