Mentally prepare baby boy. Fans wanted to give him MVP and he did nothing to deserve it. The perception tilt is way opposite of what it used to be. Meaning he can’t do wrong. Meaning all positives are exaggerated.

I genuinely believe in an unbiased way he’s the best player on the Suns, but even if he barely outplayed Booker from here to the Finals he’ll get all the credit.

I don’t think he’ll barely do anything though. He looks great physically for his standard. I think he’s just gonna prime Manu Ginobili level basketball his way into a title. If he wins a title that is.

Meh, people will say he just won cause his team was stacked or that Devin Booker was better cause his PPG is higher etc.

Maybe. But between the past two years, all the clutch stuff and the win loss differences, I just think fans perceive him as being as he USED to be.

Which is funny. People genuinely believe this guy is like in his prime in some fashion.

It'll be a great moment and might last for a short while, but people hate to be wrong. People who have clowned on Paul will just revert back to their arguments of him never getting out of round 2 (even though it's not correct) - they don't want to be wrong about calling someone a loser. Also, many of those people don't like the idea of people being the "best player" on a championship team without scoring a lot, as it kind of breaks their understanding of basketball.

A lot of them will crap on CP3 in comparisons with other great players the way some people crap on KG. During 08 and 09 no one could really say anything, but once time passed people just went back to the same arguments They'll just say he only won cause his teammates were good which is hilariously ironic since players who are ranked above them had better teammates for most of their careers so the argument isn't remotely logical.

I think Harden is back for game 5 to lead the Nets for an easy series win in 6.

I highly doubt Harden is returning at all this series.

could you explain further this point? if anythingh i have always felt being strict witj fouls is what ruins the flow of games

It can’t be an extreme one way or the other. Being too ticky tack with fouls can ruin the flow, but not calling anything also ruins things.

In this series, I definitely feel like reputation is playing a big role here. The Nets have the reputation of being a “soft” team that doesn’t play defense, while the Bucks are known to be a “tough” and “physical” defensive team, so they’re getting away with a lot of extra contact going uncalled.

Ultimately, this is leading to Kyrie getting hurt, and Tucker basically doing whatever he wants to KD. Swallowing the whistle doesn’t lead to better basketball all the time, it just means players get away with fouling.

Suns are simply a great team. Even with AD out, you don't beat down Lebron in the playoffs if you're not playing at a very high level.

Ejection for Jokic seems excessive, despite the wind up on the hit. Sucks to see his season end this way.

Jokic and Luka both commit some really stupid frustration fouls. You can tell they get nerd rage playing video games lol

Only so much impact he can have as a wing in 2021, but from what I've seen he's been excellent on and off the ball.

I think he has been very good. Obviously not at his previous levels but clearly a difference maker.

I am now a HUGE Jazz fan. Call me JazzFanSince21, since I"ve already established my love of music in the OT thread.

I pray they end the Clippers and the Suns seasons.

Or I can just say every team he faced along the way was more injured than he ever was in the post-season. There have been injuries in the playoffs before but the last 6 years have been ridiculous.

Erm, between him and Bake Griffin that certainly isn't true.

And the Suns are destroying these teams. They'd almost certainly beat those teams if they were healthy (the Lakers didn't even have fluke injuries, they were "hurt" like that all season). Not sure why people won't accept that the Suns are a championship level team - I guess because it doesn't have someone people consider a "superstar" on it.

And every team? He's faced two teams, and one of them he was injured himself.

People have no problems saying Kawhi and Curry are killers and Paul is a loser, yet they won titles against injured teams or on stacked teams. It's just a bias toward guys who had the luxury of stacked teams their whole franchise and the confirmation bias of high ppg is the only way you can be the "best" player on a championship team, whatever that really means.

Yeah, good luck with that. Suns are a much better team than both Jazz and Clippers, that series will likely not go past 5 games bar injuries.

Darn, its pretty cool seeing the Suns have this season. Props to them. Made smart moves, developed some young talent and it paid off.

You could have an extremely long, boring conversation about injury influences on the playoffs that go back way further than the past 6 years.

The Celtics would’ve had a 3-peat with KG, Cavs in 2015, Curry/WB/KD multiple times from 2013-2016.

Suspensions included, the actual best team doesn’t win even close to most of the time.
