This team just can't put stops together consistently. No matter who they're playing, the opposition always has a chance to get back in the game.

We can't get healthy soon enough

Nunn should be better than Monk

Ariza>>>>Melo

THT>>>>Rondo and Avery

I just don't see the hypothetical upside to justify what happened this offseason. Even if LeBron-AD-Russ eventually click as a trio, I can't see their offensive ceiling being any higher than it would have been with LeBron-AD plus good spacing. The lineups that do provide said spacing on this minimum-laden roster are mostly atrocious defensively. Just seems like a lot of sound and fury to more likely than not end up worse than the 2019-20 team which had a much simpler construction.

Not much is going to beat 2014-19 in terms of painful watches...

It never fails that Westbrook always turns to dog food against any kind of defensive adjustments. OKC players even got a feel for the timing of his lobs but he kept forcing it.

LeBron carrying Westbrook to a ring would be the greatest carry job since Rick Barry lol. Gotta hope the 3 swingmen (THT, Nunn, Ariza) change the tenor of this team once they get back cuz otherwise I just don't know if I can see Bron winning a ring again.

Btw super random thought but anyone else feel like Bron basically abandoned his left hand finishes on the left side of the basket ever since THT came in and started wowing everyone with his jellys and scoops on the right side? His ambidextrous finishing used to be one of the best parts of Brons game and I feel like he randomly misses a shot every now and then tryna finish with his right when he could've went with his left and I blame THT for it LOL

Also Jesus Christ, I rarely say this about NBA players cuz I feel like I somewhat have a sense of how much on another plane of existence pros are compared to us average joes, but mannnn Kent Bazemore is a f***ing BUM. I have yet to feel confident even once when he's shot the ball or put the ball on the floor or tried to get a stop on someone.

Also why do Vogel and the FO acquiesce to these washed up big men like Javale McGee and Deandre Jordan. Thank God Dwight is like a sweet childish dude cuz there is no reason for a person of his pedigree to be coming off the bench for these clowns.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Dwight is completely defanged. Getting manhandled by AD of all people on a bench. Made me sad a little.

Rondo + Westbrook

25 minutes, 88.5 ORtg, 130.6 DRtg , -42.1 per 100 possessions

If Miami makes the finals with Lowry and specially wins it all how much are the Lakers gonna regret not trading Tht for him? He wouldve been the perfect fit with Bron and Ad and he needs the ball even less at this point in his career

EVERYTHING Westbrook does wrong, Lowry does right. He would be an a absolute perfect PG for James. In these Miami games, he doesn’t even have to score to be impactful. A Lowry/Caruso/3 and D/James/AD lineup would run roughshod over teams, but instead the Lakers have Westbrook who has a negative everything after 5 games.

Yeah missing out on Lowry has to hurt. I used to think his contract put him out of the question, but then they went and traded for the biggest contract in the league lol.

How does LeBron of all people not see Lowry's value?

Thought so too. What was the point of value-pinching if you were just going to end up going for Westbrook? I mean I understood not wanting to trade 2 starters mid title run, the buyout market even ended up sucking but during the summer there was no such excuse. Even in a worst case backfire scenario Lowry's contract is still going to be a better asset than Westbrook's 50mil. You'd be lucky to even get back KCP and Kuzma back.

And what will Russ do?

Spot up?

We need him in pick and rolls, cutting to the basket, setting off ball screens, pushing the pace wisely, and posting up guards

We don't need him to take any threes that aren't wide open catch and shoot 3s

I have never understood why lebron has never really been the roller in the pick and roll

It should work a bit with Russ

Yes the spacing is wonky, but we should be so physically imposing with AD, Bron, and Russ, especially when teams are small

It is such BS how we are dealing with all these injuries

Things should look different with Nunn, Ariza, THT, and maybe even Ellington

No Rondo, no DJ (so AD is at the 5), no Avery, and less Monk, Melo, and Russ (which can be good at times)

If we are crappy in late Jan, I would look to trade Russ, but it is near impossible to find a decent deal for both sides

Lebron let Caruso go for nothing, so is it really that surprising?
