So in light of this series I can safely say the Jazz > Clippers right? ;)

Lakers are gonna cruise to the title. Theyre prolly losing 3 more games max something like 16-5

Caruso is gonna destroy Murray and Dwight/Ad are the worst matchup for Jokic

Lakers are this year's Warriors, the series is a huge mismatch. Love this Denver team, but if they win 1 game it'll be a good achievement.

Don’t think we should keep dismissing the Nuggets. They’ve proven that they’re never out of a game or a series in general.

No, they haven't proven that at all. Utah and Clippers are team of similar level to theirs. The Lakers are a few cuts above. I don't doubt that the Nuggets will fight their hardest, they've just overmatched unless one of Lebron/AD gets injured or something.

Or maybe none of the Western teams are actually juggernauts just like Milwaukee was never one. LAL are the favorites as they have been for a few months, but I wouldn't crown them yet.

I mean to be frank, Utah/LAC are much better competition than POR/HOU. Not even close, really.

Jokic is the most unique player of the era like Hakeem was for his and this definitely feels extremely Hakeem-like for a playoff run.

This Nuggets team may be dangerous next round. They dominated the Clippers. This really wasn’t that close of a series in a way.

We'll see.

Joey's been fairly consistent all season that the Lakers are a juggernaut.

I think the Lakers will win comfortably too. In 5 max.

Guys feel good all you want about the Clips losing... But can we not overreact about Kawhi's ranking here based on 1 game.

I mean he's no LeBron because he's not as dynamic a playmaker, but that's always been true. His edge in motor and being able to consistently get whatever he wants on O is a real thing, but still probably not enough to make up the gap

Five max? The Lakers needed 5 to beat Portland and Houston.

I feel like no one is acknowledging that POR/HOU are not on the same level as UTAH/LAC.

Denver was the 16th ranked defense coming off a series where they allowed Utah to put up a 123.6 ORTG against them. LAC was just held to under 110 after tonight I believe, and 105 in these three losses.
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

I would agree that UTAH and LAC are better than POR/HOU.

That said, I just don't see Lebron and AD slowing down. I like how the Lakers match-up with the Nuggets and they just look locked in.

I'd be surprised if the Lakers lost twice.

If the Lakers had faced Utah and LAC, people would be calling them weak and Portland and Houston strong. In fact, Houston probably beats Denver in a series...

The Western Conference has a very clear hierarchy, with the Lakers way ahead of the pack and then 2-7/8 very, very close, basically matchup and luck dependent.

no they wouldn't. LAC is literally what the NBA and fans have been asking for - so that isn't even true from a hype stand point. Even had posters in here saying things "if Denver wins they get destroyed, but if LAC wins it'll be a series in LAL". Almost every knowledgable fan would say Utah is better than Portland - did Portland even have a winning record?

Not to mention I am not talking about hype or some made up hierarchy. Utah and LAC are literally just flat out better than POR or Houston.

Got no clue where the Houston > Denver thing even comes from. Some love affair with names and reputation is the only thing I can think of. For what ever reason people will disrespect Denver (and Utah) but prop up Houston even though they barely squaked by OKC.

It's entirely possible the Lakers will have to go through a real fight to win a title. Most people this season were absolute chit at seeing who was an unstoppable contender and who were not.

Really impressed with the strides Murray has made as a playmaker. Used to remember him as a flashy scorer with tunnel vision but can’t say that about him now. IMO, this change was the biggest difference in Denver getting to where they are now.
