With the tenor of these playoffs being physical, let-em-play basketball rewarding those kind of plays really stuck out like a sore thumb. I thought the refs basically stopped calling that in the playoffs but here we are again.

Idk, there were like, two of these calls that I can think of. Just feels disproportionate.

Knicks are horribly overmatched by the Pacers. This could be a quick series

Very quick indeed! 9 minutes of the 1st quarter of game 1 and it's already decided!
This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.

I can only imagine what the Thunder will do to either one of these teams in the finals. LOL. Gonna be a total of 5 people watching the finals. The East is void of talent its insane

I'd be surprised if this series doesn't go 7

I disagree not because I think these two teams aren't close but because I've seen plenty of series between two evenly matched clubs in which one club wins all the close games. And I mostly think it is luck when that happens.

In favor or NY or Indy?

I think NY has the ability to exploit some of the weakness Indy has that the Cavs and Bucks couldn't. They're much more equipped to defend without help and are just way more athletic than both teams while also playing far more physical.

But yeah I'd definitely confidently lean Indy in this series but I don't think it'll be as easy as the last two were.

I posted this earlier. Boston and Cleveland should be kicking themselves. Yes injuries were a major factor but both clubs threw away some games.

Also round by round performance. Adjusted MOV doesn't take into account injuries which were significant in many of these series.

Code: Select all

Team         Round                 Opponent   Wins   Losses   PD     Mov     Opp. SRS     Adj. MOV
Knicks    Conference Semi-Finals   Celtics       4       2      3    0.5       8.28         8.8
Pacers    Conference Semi-Finals   Cavs          4       1     17    3.4       8.81        12.2

Time with lead

Code: Select all

Team         Round                 Time with Lead    Time Behind
Knicks    Conference Semi-Finals    82.5              195.1
Pacers    Conference Semi-Finals   113.7              120

Celtics and Cavs on some level must be kicking themselves for the blown games. Due to injuries a title was highly unlikely but there is a chance they could have advanced even hobbled.

Ernie is so much better than every other studio host I've seen in my life. He makes a program move smoothly and his skill is apparent when you listen to all the other studio hosts robotically move things along.

2011 Mavs all over again. At least one b.s. comeback per series.
