Garnett - 13th...

Elgin Baylor - 26th...

Yep its true what they say, individual posters are intelligent but the mob is stupid.

It's certainly all right with me, if you think it's good therapy for you! :)

The emotional impact of injuries can be much worse than the physical impact. Remember the rest of your body is still healthy (hopefully) and you'll be rehabbing and stronger soon. The surgery is making you better/stronger, or else you wouldn't have done it. ;) That's my self-talk at least...look forward to your posts.

Too low for KG and too high for Elgin?

Watching the once Teen Wolf and his recent ascension, no longer the failures and short comings are mentioned

Played smaller than his height which was greater than was listed, had fewer blocked shots than blunt wraps twisted

Unquestionably versatile, potential for a country mile, scream of passion in lieu of smile, but I'll take substance over style...

With Elgin Baylor I'll be clear, a high flying, hang gliding pioneer

Without him we don't know the Lakers, they fold before he and West are saviors

Ten times he was named to the first team, that's more than KG + Hakeem.

The Lakers, contenders every year, from worst to first his rookie year.

The eight more finals in the next eleven, the catch, his record...zero and seven.

But still the sports greatest without a ring, and greater than Garnett?...obviously.

I know right? I totally disagree with what he writes, but it's so refreshing/awesome to read I don't even care.

Who doesn't love sing-songy posts?

though its relatively close, i rate Baylor's career higher then i do KG's and seeing as i've never seen Baylor play apart from short clips i have to go by career achievements, stats and comments i ready about him, Baylor is way to low

Wow!

Y'all are a third the way to making the worst top 100 list I've read on the internet.

Garnett over Baylor is pretty debatable, and by that kind of gap almost inexplicable. Baylor was clearly a more dominant player over his era, way more first teams, a top five scorer and top ten rebounder for quite a number of years. Garnett has a defensive edge, that's it as far as I can see. He's not 13 spots over Baylor.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Saying Garnett has a defensive edge over Baylor is like saying the United States has a military edge over Spain.

Spain has nothing to be embarrassed about militarily, but the impact of the two are on entirely different levels.

BTW, my apologies from absconding from the project. I've become primary carer for my kids, which takes a lot of the day's time and the night's energy. One of these evenings I'm going to have a ranking reading binge and nut out the arguments I was GOING to use against Isiah @ 29. :P

The rancor in this thread notwithstanding, the project still looks like it's rattling along nicely.

That doesn't sound good -- unless, of course, your spouse found a wonderful job.

Hang in there!

Here's to hoping Tmac and Hayes are sitting in the "green room" for a longggg time.
