5-2 since the trade deadline.. Lebron has only played in 3 of these games. This team would be the fourth seed or higher if they started the season together.

Thankful for the win.

The good news is they only have two more B2Bs the rest of the season: Pels + Rockets and then later on, Jazz-Clips.

Who are we rooting for, Pels or Blazers?

Pels schedule is easier the rest of the year than Portland, but who knows when Zion is back

It's not their decision to wait. You have to get other teams to agree to the trade. And no, the Hield/Turner package early on was not it

Yeah, you pretty much have to pay a premium to get the package before deadline. Start of season for the package they just got costs 2 FRP.

If they knew that a back to back was going to be difficult for him, he should’ve rested him versus Memphis, he gets an extra day of rest, and then he comes out strong against OKC, which is a more important game

Correct, and this is like, worst case scenario.

Maybe or maybe they thought they can win without him. AD is clearly injured still, so asking him playing btb is unrealistic

Honestly their only goal should be finishing ahead of the Pels

5 game homestand now and then a road game in New York. After that, it'll be two weeks since LeBron's injury and hopefully he can return for the Pelicans game on the 14th.

With AD and Russell healthy I think they can aim for 4-1 at home.

Knicks game is a home tilt.

If Lakers win the next 2 games I think they can jump to 7th place. The teams above are all likely to lose at least 1 game of the next 2.

That's insane

Not sure whether to be concerned or not with Davis’ foot / whatever was the root cause of keeping him out (he has been playing through a Bone Spur, from different accounts I’ve read into).

There’s this too ^. Unsure what to make of the whole situation as it seemed abrupt, but the OKC game seemed winnable sans Davis and we pulled it off. I guess in hindsight, playing the Grizzlies game made more sense as Davis gave us a punchers’ chance with a crazy rebounding , play-finishing, and defense game (his self creation has been rough since returning from injury). Turnovers and letting Ja dance his way into the paint in the third did us in.

Will be an interesting (not necessarily in a positive way) situation to monitor moving forward. Imperative to, worst case, split the next two games.

Maybe it's bigbird's theory on Jeannie and Rob trying to destroy LBJ's legacy for Kobe

I almost suspected that in the past because I just couldn't explain their decisions, but after the moves at the deadlines, it's become apparent that Pelinka is trying to win, he's just the stupidest GM of all time. Luckily for him Ainge did him a solid.

Reaves is so good that a significant chunk of Lakers' cap space, might get spent on retaining him. He should be starting as early as next season if he doesn't seal that job soon.

Yes sure, the benevolent, charitable and close best friend of the Lakers, Danny Ainge did Pelinka a favor.

Super late, but wow. The guy actually overtook Kareem far ahead of even the most optimistic projections on here. Honestly pretty incredible.

Bron not needing surgery. Two weeks is the best scenario. Big win vs OKC by LA to keep playoff hopes alive. Will he get a run this year?

All I know is I'm hoping for a quick and - figuratively speaking - miraculous recovery for him and AD (and DLo).
