So many good trios. Draft is a lot of fun so far.

I am absolutely shocked at some players that haven't been selected yet. I might have to scrap my positional needs and just go with the best pick available when it's my turn.

Re: PC Board All-Time Fantasy League Project - Discussion Th
I'm satisfied with my trio of Kareem, TMac, and Ray.
I only get KAJ's final MVP year followed by a couple slight decline seasons, but he was still a capable scorer where his PER36 numbers still hold up. There are maybe 4 centers in this draft who can put up reliable offense, and he's certainly one of them. I'll likely have to keep his minutes in the 33-35 range & rest him on night were the game is nationally televised during the RS.
TMac was chosen solely based on his peak 03 season and the fact that I felt he was the best ISO wing player left. He had a spike in efficiency due to him developing a 3 point shot and being more aggressive on offense. Seemed like things were clicking for him before he sulked the following season after Mike Miller & Armstrong were traded, so I won't be choosing 2004.
I had considered Penny and Paul Pierce here.
I'm trilled with picking Ray Allen and feel he's excellent value here. Great 3 point shooter, great off-ball, while also having playmaking ability when needed with underrated athleticism. I actually wanted Reggie due to his playoff heroics though Ray also performed well in the playoffs, so I'm not sure what I would've done had both been gone.
The ball movement on your team will be great. I had already mentioned Parish's passing ability, and you team is highly skilled. To me, the grass looks greener where you are. lol
This is similar to how I feel. When Clyde came into the league, he didn't have a jumper though he had a reliable one by the end of his career. Still, when he would go through stretches of his mid-range disappearing, the defense would sag off of him.
I made a reference to Clyde's dribbling style earlier when I drafted TMac. I had considered Clyde then and do think he has good ball handling ability though he won't be breaking ankles or anything. Ultimately, I just thought others were better fits for what I was trying to do.

The offensive synergy with Nash/Dirk/Parish should be similar to Bird/McHale/Parish with the shooting, playmaking and post-play.
Parish wasn't my first choice but now that I think of it, he fit so well with both a post-up 4 in McHale and a stretch 4 in Bird. Dirk plays both roles to perfection, so really, I couldn't have had it better.
Though honestly I think either O_6 or john248 has it best.

I wanted to try to fit him in because if you can harness a big name like that it might influence the judges quite a bit, but by the time I made my pick I had many other players above Glyde.

I was actually interested in who he'd pick. I vaguely remember a top 15 or whatever player's list he had in the PC section before, and it was vastly different than mine. lol

Yeah, I disagree with him pretty often as well. I'm actually looking forward to match-up with him here.

Should we already let Thunder Dan make his pick? I think it's time. CaliBullsFan ran out of time so he can make his selection later on.
EDIT: Oh, well, he's just made his pick, so please disregard my remarks.

And he just gets his pick in. A fantastic defender too.
If you go against him, that defense looks rather solid. You guys drafted similar positions.

Funny how you just selected Sid the Squid when we have a thread telling us he isn't that good. I figured that I'd be able to take him in the next round.

Funny thing is I didn't see that thread until after I made my pick but it wouldn't have changed it. Once T-Mac got picked ahead of me in round 2 my strategy was set

I don't think a lot of people are drafting based on BPA. It's more a matter of fit, which is interesting. I realized I'm doing the same thing.

There are already several players that went much earlier than I expected (Billups for instance) and some others that haven't been drafted yet who are higher on all-time lists almost universally.
On the other hand, Drexler surprised me for going too low. I was targeting him for my 2nd pick in case Grant Hill was taken and expected him to go almost immediately afterwards.

Which guy already taken is a 'role' player?

If you mean Billups, then he's much closer to your guards (Moncrief and Payton) than you would like to admit. He was just as much of a star as Carmelo when they were both in Denver.
BTW. Your defense would be incredible with Duncan, Payton and Moncrief. I'm not sure anymore if I want to play against you.

That pick was easier for me, than the last one.
After taking a center, I really wanted GInobili. He is no Drexler or Hill (I was going te grab Drexler in the 2nd round, never really had a chance for Hill), but not THAT far away from them. I think his prime measures up well with almost anybody left on the table... Sure, there are more prolific scorers left, a couple of really big name players... but Manu would be perfect with Bird (at least I think so). A complete player, a winner, a player that totally understands the team concept, and delivers so many things on both ends of the court. Smart, tenacious, can drive to the basket, can shoot the ball efficiently, is a good defender... can even play some mintes at PG... and he is CLUTCH. Going into the final minute, I now have a two-headed monster to seal the deal.
At least, that's the plan. I think Larry-Manu is a fun duo to have.

Quite surprising to me because IMO Drexler had a few years when he was a bit better than prime Hill. Drexler's superior shooting range could prove helpful and IMO he's the type of guy that would get along very well with Shaq.
ThunderDan9 - good pick with Manu. Yeah, him and Bird are a really good fit, both can handle the ball and play off of it equally well, and both are willing to do both of these things.

I decided to rank Hill higher since I consider him to be better defensively and I really need a perimeter defender that I can comfortably put 1-on-1 against the superstar wings that I will face.
As for fit, Hill is just one piece of the puzzle. I don't have any worries with him as a team player and I hope to fulfill my vision of the team.

was surprised yao went quite that high, considering you couldn't use his best years. funny thing though: yao made the all star team every single year of his career (8 straight times). in his last year he made the all star game having only played 5 games!
on the clock.
