Nope, not seeing it.

His first game back against Portland was historic and he followed that up with another great performance. He had an off game inside the arc against OKC in game 1 but came back with some vintage scoring and dropped 28 on 15 shots in 30 minutes in game 2. Game 3 and 4 were off games but those also happen to be the games where OKC as a team played incredible defense inside the arc while also running out to early double digit leads which led to GS rushing everything on offense trying for the home run play.

He bounced back very well in game 5, but then started out game 6 completely off until he got it going late.

There's just no pattern of increasing performance here. He played 3 great games right after coming back from injury, slumped while his team fell apart against an incredibly physical team and then bounced back at home before starting out missing everything again yesterday. He still got cooking at the end tho, but there's nothing here suggesting he's getting healthier or something.

People are desperately trying to push the "curry is getting carried" narrative. I bet they are so mad that no one is buying it. It honestly doesn't matter what anyone on realgm thinks. As long as the media doesn't push that bs narrative, the haters can keep whinning and trying to bring him down. It's pathetic really

There's no way you could have watched that game and not see the carry. Follow the game thread, everyone was commenting on Curry looking shook, he was having very little impact and the only reason they were still in the game was Durant was throwing the game. Then Klay just pulls a classic 'give me the ball I got this' routine and brings everyone's confidence up.

If Klay didn't take over they are watching the Finals from their sofa.
anyone involved in that meddling to justice”. NO COLLUSION

Curry is putting up 26/6/6 in the playoffs, on 60%TS. Any notion that he is being carried is completely ridiculous. Is he as great as he was in the regular season? No, but MJ and Dirk are possibly the only two first options in NBA history who managed to maintain their regular season scoring efficiency in the postseason. It's not an easy thing to do, and Curry is still scoring more efficiently that these two btw, it's just that his drop off is bigger just because how ridiculous of a season he was having.

Hakeem, too. Actually, Olajuwon was a better scorer in the playoffs than he was in the RS (higher scoring average in the playoffs on equal efficiency, against better opponents).

He's going at 60TS% instead of his 67 from the regular season. Massive choker. Fun seeing the Jordan guys as nervous about Curry as they were getting about Lebron. Looking forward to the finals. :D

So let me get this straight, Steph puts up 31/10/9 while shooting 60 TS% and he got carried?

Very interesting.

curry since coming back from injury is averaging 28.5/6.5/6.6 in 36.5 minutes at 60.5 TS

In a 10 game playoff season, the only people I can find that can beat that number that have top 20 peaks are Kareem, west, Lebron. And Jordan. (Didn't count the Aba) but dr J beats the mark as well
95 Hakeem ties it. Shaq does too. (Though it's 36 vs 36.5 so I suppose they beat it)

Iirc, out of those guys only Jordan did it more than once (he did it a lot though)

In 10 game stretches or in the first 10 playoff games?

It's fair to say that Klay carried the team for swaths of the game. That doesn't mean that Curry had a bad game and I would stop short of saying he had "very little impact". He made some really good defensive plays (along with Iggy) without all of those contributions the Warriors probably lose.

MVP like game from the 2X MVP himself. Incredible performance, efficient as hell, and all of it coming in a very intense game 7. Bravo Curry.

Think this may have been his finest career moment to date given the setting. Awesome performance. Ends this series with the most threes ever in a playoff series, and Klay is right behind him and would have had the record if not for Steph.

You kinda knew this was coming especially when he made those two 3s at the start. Great performance, in a game 7 no less!

Ever see the movie hancock starring will smith

The scene where he's regaining his power, the farther he gets.

That's what it felt like as the game progressed.

Most 3s ever in a playoff series all time ...

1. Steph 32 (2016 vs OKC)
2. Klay 30 (2016 vs OKC)

There are zero other examples of a guy hitting 30. By the time these two are done we won't even be able to conceive of a record regarding 3s that isn't owned by one of them

36 points on over 68% eFG + pressured the rim better than in any game in the series, leading to 8 assists. His cuts after giving up the ball looked way better, too. I think he's got his wind back.

Great game by Curry. Great game by both teams really.

This is what I"m talking about. No excuse or making injury nonsense. Back it up and he did this game. This is what legends were made of. Curry has an opportunity to go down as the top 20 players if he wins this year title. A loss, however, will push him back to Top 40 imo.
