That bench unit with Bron was pretty good

Lebron has never had a team with a ton of athletic wings, feels like 2020 was the closest with AC, Pope, DG and Kuzma lol

Probably the best win of the year.

Playing good defense against one of the best offenses in the league.

Lakers won the game playing 37 year old at center with Stanley Johnson at the 4 (was out of the NBA a month ago), Reaves (an undrafted rookie), Monk, and THT. Imagine if he ever got to play with a few big defensive wings at a time who can shoot…

Best contest defense the Lakers played all year.

First time Vogel has sat Westbrook past his regular rotation minutes and it paid off.

Game changed when LeBron checked back in late 3rd (with LA down 10) to join the rest of the reserves. You now had a legit offensive player on the court to give some meaning to the hustle of Reaves and Stanley. LA outscored Jazz 33-17 from that point on. Amazing how surrounding even a grandpa LeBron with players who can play hard and not be complete morons on offense can do wonders.

Hopefully this is the start of Vogel benching RW for long periods when he's being a complete negative on the court.

Lebron averages 27, 7, and 7 for his career. He has never had a game of 27, 7, and 7 exactly. He had 25, 7, and 7 today...

They gotta sign Johnson for the rest of the season. There's no one else on the roster who fits his profile. His offense isn't nearly good enough to play 25+ mins every night but a consistent 20min is necessary on this team.

He really fits in a small-ball switch heavy scheme. 20mins for Stanley, 28+ for Reaves and 16-20min for Dwight. Try to lean on D I guess and try to get this rebounding under control.

If Russ wasn't such a dud as a scorer...

Would've been nice to see if Vogel had the balls to bench Westbrook the rest of the way.

Unfortunately I feel like his and-1 towards the end of the game may have made Westbrook feel "vindicated."

For any other player it'd be a mini slump.

For Lebron it likely means his confidence is shaken and he's now going to change his form 47 times again for some reason, which is a shame.

They rode Stanley Johnson real hard late in the game on offense. I knew he was offensively limited but I didn't imagine he'd be "leave open at the free throw line because he sucks" limited on offense.

If the Lakers dump Vogel for Fizdale they are a certified joke.

I don't care about Vogel one way or another. He's probably not the biggest issue, but he hasn't been a solution either.

The problem is the Lakers waiting to do this until the end of January instead of in November, when Vogel has had the same issues all season long. Why do it more than halfway through the season?

Because Rob thought Westbrook+AD would be better and is looking to do something to justify keeping his job. And because I guess it worked with Lebron teams before so why not try it here??

Don't think it's gonna work here though.

What exactly is the downside to Reaves starting? Every time I watch him play it's just high IQ plays and hustle. I feel like he should get as many minutes with LeBron as possible, but it seems everyone here is talking about Monk vs Bradley. Is there some benefit to having him come off the bench?
