They boxed him out so well he still averaged 10rpg while being injured??? The only game they actually slowed him was a game he played 28 minutes. Rebounds are also not the only type of hustle points. Loose balls are also big. You can't gameplan for hustle points.
I think the idea that hustle players do worse in the playoffs has more to do with everyone hustling in the playoffs, and thus hustle players losing that edge over everyone else, moreso than gameplaning. From what I can tell, hustle players disappear a bit in the playoffs so I think its a valid point.
Anyway, I like both these guys. They're both high IQ, two way centers who are versatile enough to fit just about any system. I give the edge to NOah because as has been mentioned, when he was healthy he was a clear all-star Center, maybe even the second best in the league.

Marc rather easily. Noah was exposed in the playoffs this year.

Exposed as injured, yes.

Noah averaged 15/13 in the playoffs against the Cavs, when 100%.

@Morten Jensen do you happen to have a link good sir?
This should help.

Lol that picture reminds me of how much rookie noah annoyed me. And yeah, Noah is rather big now a days.

I've tried for like 30 minutes now, and I can't find it on the Tribune's website. But trust me, it was there. Still is, most likely. Noah had reported in at 245 or 246 after the summer.

And let me also add that he averaged 16/13 this year before he got injured.

Re: Marc Gasol vs. Joakim Noah (Poll Included)
Give me Marc Gasol, he isn't completely useless on offense. There were many times where I felt the Bulls were better with Kurt Thomas out on the court opposed to Joakim Noah. I have never thought anything like that with Marc Gasol. Like someone stated earlier, Marc is better because he is the better two-way player.

Re: Marc Gasol vs. Joakim Noah (Poll Included)
Noah is simply a hustle player at this point in his career while Gasol will develop into the more offensively polished player. Both can also play respectable defense so the edge must go to Gasol. He can provide more to a team on the offensive end than Noah can.

Marc Gasol for his offense. Noah is all heart and that's good but not as much talent as Marc Gasol.

Gasol. Noah is a better rebounder and defender but Gasol is so much better offensively and is also a very good defender and rebounder.

Re: Marc Gasol vs. Joakim Noah (Poll Included)
I like the spirited debate of this thread, even if most of the arguments are redundant. I don't think there is a clear right or wrong answer (despite how hard Jvaughn pushes), but I'm going with Gasol on this one. Noah is what everyone has said he is. He's a great rebounder, he's an emotional leader, he can run the break (not sure why you'd want to if you have Rose as your floor general), etc. etc. etc.
But I like what Gasol brings to the table. He's a hard worker, he's improving in his overall game (I don't doubt that his postseason was a coming-out party, of sorts), he's reliable offensively, he's a good rebounder and has shown he can be a great rebounder, and he has a lot of untapped potential, IMHO. I can't see fault with someone going with Noah, but I don't hesitate to go with #33 here.
