Well if we are talking about strength on the court and using it to your advantage, it is O'neal hands down. Just way too much for one man to contain especially on a repost where he would seal you and dunk on yo mamma.

A majority of his game is brute strength and force. Although he had really nice touch on his hooks just not recently.

Shaq with an offensive board is a guaranteed dunk.

If by "strongest" you mean physically strongest, then you'd have to be an idiot to put Shaq behind anyone. His entire legacy, and game basically was due to his sheer power. That's how he scored. By overpowering weaker players and dunking all over their helpless asses.

He might have been a Malcontent but while Danny Fortson played on the Sonics I saw him keep Shaq from getting deep post position. He played Shaq as well as anyone that year.

However I'd say Shaq is the most powerful player the game has seen.

His combination of size, strength and speed adds up to four rings.

I used to enjoy the verbal jobs between Shaq and Fortson. If Fortson was a more profilic offensive player that wouldve made a great rivarly.

Good luck finding a guy that can bench 400 and not do a pushup

I was thinking the same thing. What the hell are you talking about Jaypo?

It was an exaggeration to prove a point. The term "strength" is relative. You can be very strong, and not powerful. Or very powerful and not strong. I used to be very strong doing lat pulldowns, but couldn't do more than 3 pullups. What good is being strong in that sense? If I fall off of a pier and need to save myself, will I pull the pier down, or have to pull myself up? So I focused on pulling up my own weight, and now, I can do 25 pullups at a time. (Thanks in part to Crossfit!) Herschel Walker never did weight training until after he was in the NFL, but was as ppowerful as many other players he played with. His strength came from situps, pushups, and pullups. Basketball "strength" would be the ability to keep a player off the block, or something like that. Being able to benchpress 500lbs doesn't necessarily mean that you can keep a 300lb guy from backing you down. For this thread, I guess you would have to determine which player in history could either physically impose his will without being impeded OR could limit ANY player from imposing his will.

Maybe a better example would have been that I would rather be able to benchpress 225lbs and still be able to 40 pushups INSTEAD of being able to benchpress 400 and only do 20 pushups. Is that a better example? I think you get my point. I just worded it strangely.
