Except they don’t even really have any shooters. They’re playing a modern game where they’re giving up more three-pointers than they take, they make fewer three-pointers in their opponents. They can shoot free throws, they can’t get defensive, rebounds, and teams routinely take 10+ more shots a game, how do you supposed to make up the difference?

Pelinka has had 6 seasons to build around LeBron and he's done a bad job at it every single time. He has to be in the running for worst GM of all time. The only times they've had any success is because he merely did a bad job and not horrible. And yes, that roster in 2020 was built poorly around LeBron, I don't care if they won, their shooting was ****.

Blowing up the 2020 team permanently (Please Use More Appropriate Word) the Lakers in terms of their development in the championship arms race for the decade. Brons only hope is to form a twilight team
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Who blows up a championship team too lol? Absolutely moronic. They were still elite in 2021 when healthy, they just had a ridiculous amount of injuries.

These no calls on LeBron are crazy tho. A lot of stars got foul calls to protect them from the league. The refs literally Nerf LeBron to protect the league. That's gonna be one of the most enduring takes for me from his career.

Good thing the Lakers saved the pick they could've used on Myles Turner and drafted JuniorHighSchool with it instead.

If they were nerfing him to protect the league they would have done it earlier in his career. It's only been a recent thing so I doubt that's it.

I fully believe that LeBron is gonna retire purely out of frustration after this season. The Lakers have done just about everything they could do to destroy this man's psych. The Cavs were never this bad.

So I'm hearing Hambone changed the offense from last season? Why would that idiot do that, they clearly had something that was working?

They're not good at anything right now. Not a single thing.

I'm perplexed by how hard scoring seems for them. Half the time them scoring against set defenses feels like an accident. They can't run because they don't force turnovers and are getting relentlessly attacked on the glass. They look like last years Warriors.

I'm almost certain their 3pt shooting is worse than it was to start last season.

It's the eternal fallout from The Decision. FTR took a hit in Miami and then fell precipitously after he left there too. The respect from the refs were never the same since then

Trying to run different sets, try to have DLo and Austin Reaves initiate, which one you think about it is probably a good idea, but they have been absolute trash at doing so this year. It’s about any of the states that they have won this year. I’ve been one with LeBron initiating the offense. Not only do they not make any three-pointers, they don’t even get three pointers off, which is suicide in the modern NBA.

Changing something that was working is what stupid coaches do. Ham is an unreal handicap.

What was working? Their offense was bad especially in the half court

Offense was good last year after the trade deadline when LeBron was on the court.

Was hoping Lebron would get the Duncan treatment with a competent FO and Coaching staff so he could have continued success as his impact slowly diminished. Seems the opposite. I hate to throw out excuses around here because we know what the anti-lebron crowd are like, but every year I wonder how much for 'success' (really just mean rangz) he could have had with even half as good FO/coaching as some of the ATG have had.

Pretty sure their half court numbers were miserable. Now LAL's defense got worse so less transition and semi transition opportunities leads them to a lesser offense in general. + Reaves declined from 70% TS to league average and in general guards can't put the pressure on the rim like Schroder did

Yes, I agree, the problem is: he passed then he needs to shoot and vice-versa. Decision-making is very important thing.
