Is this the reason why you changed your team logo?

Just doesn't feel right to see your screen name without a Jazz logo.

Sort of, I've enjoyed watching the Warriors for a while now (basically since Dray emerged, so a bit bandwagony to be sure), may switch back if it feels too wrong, but as of now I much prefer watching any Warriors game (no matter how bad) to any Jazz game (no matter how good) and to me that's basically the definition of fandom, so I switched the logos. Still have some players I really love in Utah - Ingles/Favors in particular - so they'll likely be my #2 for the season still.

Yeah, I know you liked the Warriors and especially Dray from some of your posts. I would say do whatever you enjoy the most. In the end it is just basketball, no need to despair watching a team, if you have more fun watching others. I agree that the joy you have watching a team is the basis of fandom. When it's not there anymore, no need to force it.

It's just that whenever I read your posts I have always that picture in my head that Joe Ingles with a Jazz Jersey is talking, because you had that picture of Joe as an avatar. First you changed the avatar, now the Jazz logo. Tough times for my head to figure that one out haha. :D

I was considering switching to a Favors avatar (my actual favorite player), put him in a Pelicans uniform to confuse folks further ;)

Jarrett Allen actually holding his own and outplaying Embiid so far...such a stark contrast to their playoff matchup a couple years ago.

He's been taking it to two of the top Cs in the league the last 2 games...he becomes an even bigger asset if he can start consistently matching the top Cs around the league...which basically makes him an All-Star level player and a perfect complement to KD and Kyrie moving forward.

Here we go. I'm surprised it took so long for the system to break down.

Optics of this are super weird too. Curry didn't play, but because of ankle soreness.

Also seeing this Wolves team without KAT (OK not actually watching but checking the score) its so bad. There's gonna be no KAT slander.

I don't understand why the NBA is playing games if there are tests outstanding.

Same. Happened in the World Series too and I don't get it

Ehh, when you're running this many tests there will always be a test outstanding.

Well I guess the question is why does the NBA allow him in the arena if his test results haven't come back yet?

Because they're doing these tests routinely as a precautionary method. A negative until proven positive approach.

The alternative of regularly putting a day or two pause on all team activities between rounds of testing makes it impossible to hold a season.

If he was the only one who hadn't gotten his test back yet, it seems reasonable to remove him. I understand how that wouldn't be plausible for the whole team.

All I've learned is in NBA talk the only thing that matters is the thing that happened yesterday, and if you're flashy you're great.

The Nets so far look a lot like the old OKC Thunder - at the end of tight games, they seem to devolve into a KD/Kyrie your turn/my turn isolation offense. I was hopeful that Nash would bring a more balanced approach but maybe that's too much to hope for when your stars aren't great playmakers and fall into tunnel vision all too often.

I've been a bit lower on them, just due to the defense, and not knowing what Durant would be on return. He's been good, but the defense is a real concern.

But they whooped the Jazz last night so now Kyrie is top 5 all time :nonono:

Lol I would love for us to be as good as those OKC teams. They were legitimately great teams.

We’ll probably look back at them and consider them to be some of the best teams to never win a title. 2016 especially. I would take the 16 Thunder over the 90s Jazz and Sonics from that perspective, for example.

Teams need to be able to operate somewhat normally (practice/meetings/travel) while tests are outstanding or else the season won't happen. Travel is an especially big one and far higher risk than sitting on a bench.

It is not feasible to treat random tests that haven't returned as positive tests. Such an attitude will only encourage less testing.

One thing of note: Curry wasn't playing anyway due to an unrelated injury. Don't see why then.

But I'd tend to agree w/ Clyde, if you're testing guys, IMO results should be in by game time, if they're not they should be moving them up in the day or there's a risk for stuff like this.

Zion should just skip the 5 year process and demand a trade to LA right now

He missed a lot of easy layups and dunks today, although 4 of his missed he rebounded, but it’s impressive how much they didn’t give him the ball considering how easy it was for him to get right to the rim lol
