There's definitely a chance Curry goes cold at some point for an extended period of time, but it's basically a quarter into the season and he's playing better than anyone has ever played. Clearly a top 5 peak if he keeps this up imo.

What if Stephen Curry wasn't in his prime yet? Where would you think he'd rank all time?

Post#462 » by KidPistol » Thu Dec 3, 2015 2:35 am

Lets just say that this year, Curry hasn't even hit his prime. In fact, he wouldn't hit his prime for a couple of years (29/31 years old), Where would he rank all time amongst other players?
The scariest question in NBA history.

"Can Stephen Curry get better?"

Top 5? It's the best peak in history if he keeps this up.

Curry probably can hit 3's with his eyes closed at a 70% rate

From Struggling to find college offers as a senior to the unquestioned best player in the NBA? Not likely.

another fun stat:
Curry scored at least 20 points in a quarter for the fifth time this season. No other player has done that more than once.

One of my friends in college used to do that to me when we'd play pickup. I wanted to pop him in the mouth :-?

53-9 remaining for the record. ~13.7 SRS after tonight. Inching close to 116.0 team ORTG.

Curry's at 34.8 PER after tonight as well, back above 5.0 3PM/G threshold at 5.1. His eFG% is 65.0%.

Will start doing SOS/HCA adjustments and In/Out data this weekend.
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

I just want one close game where Curry can finally take over the "most three pointers in a game" record. This was his second game in a week where he had 9 and sat out the 4th quarter. It's starting to become an average night for him. :D He is not human, no way. He has some kind of laser targeting machine in his head. Gotta be.

He's looking like the GOAT offensive player now. I haven't looked it up, but I'm pretty sure there has never even been a 20 game hot streak as hot as this one. It's ridiculous to think someone could surpassed MJ and Shaq so easily, but he's putting even them to shame right now.
