suns will be the first team that may play for heavily injured teams for a ring

that is some crazy luck

They went 11-2 against those injured teams with the majority of the games being one sided beatdowns.

I think they'd have lost to the healthy Clippers but they are just flat out better than the Lakers and Nuggets.

Clippers also chose to duck the Lakers and drew Luka. Suns didn't duck anyone and were rewarded. Sometimes the basketball gods are on your side when you treat the sport legitimately.

Was really hoping Giannis would take him out but I have to accept Paul winning his 1st.

To be honest I still feel a healthy Lakers would have beat the Suns but I realize it's just a what if. Hopefully we get a rematch next year.

That must mean the basketball gods are setting the Suns up for maximum heartbreak in the Finals, then. CP3's Oscar-worthy flopping isn't "treating the sport legitimately."

CP3 is really gonna win the chip in the most anti-CP3 way possible, have every other star get injured while his team stays healthy-ish and pull through even with him not playing well much of the time.

Worked late and missed this so catching up on the post game breakdown as I have been at times, but Clippers did well to get it to 6 with that level of fatigue. The Suns are a surprise but were a quality team all year, their young guys have stepped up more than I'd think most expected, and yep they got a few breaks to go their way and stayed healthy. But that happens every year too. Last year the Lakers were healthy and played a few injured teams. 2019 the Raptors had some injury luck, and just staying healthy is a bit of luck itself.

How does everyone see Ayton now compared to every other big? Im only taking Jokic and Embiid over him and Jokics defense is a real problem in the playoffs. They had to rally from b2b 3-1 deficits last year and that was with Jamal Murray playing like Steph Curry in the playoffs.

Embiid is always hurt and his defense and onball creation has issues himself. Ayton might be the best playoff defender even over Draymond IMO. How he was able to stay on the floor and dominate the Clips small ball VS how helpless and borderline useless Rudy Gobet was eye opening

you could make a REAL case Ayton has been Suns best player in their western conference run

Chris Paul making the finals after such an amazing performance is a joy to see. He was 7 of 8 from 3 and had 8 assists to 0 TOV. I know he isn't the most popular with everyone but I've always been a fan because of his fundamentally sound play at all levels and his dominance despite his size.

In all honesty a ring wouldn't change his all-time ranking much for me but it is always a good thing to have to get the respect he deserves from the casuals.

I know he doesn't have much of a sample, but what about KAT and how much his shooting can possibly bend PS defenses? Bam Adebayo had a less impressive scoring run, but a better overall help defense display in last year's PS. He is a better passer than Ayton and is elite as a man defender.

Zion has defensive issues, but I feel like his scoring could be really scary in the PS with a good primary creator.

It helps when:

1. Your guards can give you the ball.
2. Your guards can stay in front of Reggie Jackson.

That said, Ayton is fantastic in the playoffs and I'd argue that he's their most important player when you look at Paul missing games and Booker's inconsistent scoring. He's definitely a great talent and I hope he'll improve from now on. His mobility is outstanding, you can't score on him one on one unless you have massive size advantage down low.

I'm glad that this gimmick Clippers gameplan is over now. They deserve a lot of credit, they showed a lot of toughness and PG was fantastic, but I hate watching them play.

Now I hope that Bucks will be able to beat Hawks, just give a chance for Lopez to shine 8-)

Brolo is gonna get played off the floor again. No Giannis help defense to bail out those cement feet anymore.

So many people talking bout Lakers, nets and now bucks possibly missing a golden opportunity. What about **** Philly. They really blew it.
