Never seen this many duos or trios of MVP players join up and achieve nothing. Westbrook has secretly had a more stacked teammate cast than KD.

I'm waiting for Reaves to move into the starting line up and that would be 4 plus defenders.

Looking at the lay of the land, the 6th seed has the highest odds I can remember of making a deep playoff run if the Grizzlies/Kings hold on to the 2nd/3rd seeds. The opportunity to face the inexperienced Kings in the first round and then either a Grizzlies team in turmoil (no Clarke for the remainder of the season and the reverberations of the Ja situation) or the 7th seed while having HCA. I hope the Clippers or Warriors don't end up grabbing that seed.

Only team in the West that is scary is the Suns. Only scary team in the East are Bucks and Celtics. I think Lakers beat the rest in a series quite easily if healthy.

Before those last two threes, lakers through 8 games and one quarter were looking at a DRating of about 98, a -15.5 rDRtg. It’s pretty crazy.

They're missing 2 more starters besides LeBron. No DLo and AD had to check out after getting hit in the nose. That will ground any team's offense.

Reaves already has a multi-faceted game. A year ago he was a solid hustle guy. Now he pretty much does everything at an above average level at least.

The offense came along in that second quarter and good enough defense will be able to win this game for them as long as Davis is able to play at least 18 or 19 minutes in the second half. It would be a big win seeing as how Utah lost. Golden State got beaten up by OKC though.

Malik Beasley is just too streaky—he will go 6 for 12 and then follow it up with the 1 for 8. Lonnie Walker and Beasley might cost them this game with their collective trash play.

It used to be unthinkable for a team with Lebron to ever lack floor managing or playmaking. Davis is a big but is still relatively atrocious as a passing hub. He should never have to make non-scoring decisions, not even as a rollman.

LeBron truly got hurt at the worst possible time because damn this team is infinitely better without Disasterbrook.

I’ll say this: if he comes back 100% healthy, this injury might have ended up becoming a blessing in disguise for a few reasons:

1) Fully recovered vs 80-90% and ready to go for playoffs.
2) AD coming into his own.

And let’s bear in mind they’ve been winning without DLo. Now, do I think they’re 100% better with than without DLo? Honestly, I’m not sure; it means guys like Reaves and Schroeder, who are positive defenders, play less. We’ll have to see what happens.

Him made some great decisions today by running with Rui when Vandy wasn’t Having the greatest game. He did a good job quickly pulling Walker out of the game as well. Lastly, Troy Brown Junior has to get credit for the last few games he’s been playing — pretty good defense, timely three point shooting… It’s been nice to see.

AD: 30/22, +24 tonight; 38/9, +19 vs. the Warriors.

Good Points here. It helps that DLo has been either a neutral or slightly positive defender this year and then add so much to the offense. It will be interesting to see how he does without LeBron out there when he is going to be test with being the primary playmaker. Hopefully his minutes take away all of Lonnie Walker’s minutes and then maybe a few from Schroeder and Reaves. Regardless, without Westbrook, the Lakers have multiple lineups that can possibly work and this is even without LeBron
