Miami just has more experience and heart. Gonna need their role players to step up in Miami.

This Jimmy Butler game is right up there with LeBron Celtics game 6 2012. Simply incredible.

the lebron one was more impressive cause he kinda did it in 3 quarters and finished the game before the fourth (also because the pressure was higher on lebron than on butler)

but that is a really high bar, butler is insane for this

47/9/8/4/1 with 1 Turnover, 11-11 FT

I dont think you can say without certainty you have a seen a clearly better game.

Apparently being inside/outside the restricted area is now a reviewable matter.

To Add: The LeBron game was also so special because of the scrutiny and media pressure he was facing.

that's been a thing for years

remember the controversy in 2018?

lebron drew a charge on KD near the end of g1 (before the jr play). they reviewed to check if he was inside the RA (when he was CLEARLY outside of the RA) and while doing so, decided to overturn it to a block.

same thing that happened here

RULE NO. 13: Instant Replay:
Section I—Instant Replay Review Triggers:
Instant replay will be triggered in the following situations:
[...]
- Officials have determined that illegal contact has occurred on a block/charge foul but are not reasonably certain as to whether the defender was inside or out- side the restricted area during the last two minutes of the fourth period or last two minutes of any overtime period(s).

dipo was also clearly outside of the RA. so it's possible that the refs just use this to review whenever they want to under the guise of checking for something that doesnt need to be checked for

Just give the Warriors the title

Sadly we dont have a superstar. Jayson has gotten CLAMPED by Pj Tucker all series and that dumbass spin move is so telegraphed I cant believe how often he still goes for it. Jaysons lack of explosiveness or high end athleticism isnt talked about enough. He has those bursts only if his 3 is on fire besides that hes as streaky as Pg13

I don't really keep up with the changes in replay rules tbh.

Huh, didn't remember the LeBron/KD one at all.

Weird thing to be able to review, and it seems like a misuse there.

Butler has probably had the highest highs of the playoffs, unsure on overall, missed game vs Atlanta and really rough last 3 games prior to this one.

Butler being back to normal he might be the best player left in the playoffs. Insane performance on the road, shades of LeBron G6.

His three-point attempt rate has dropped to 45% this season after being in the 60s and 70s for years. From the eye test he looks better to me making plays in the short midrange area.

honest question, if miami somehow wins a title how high would people reevaluate butler?

hell, if he makes the finals and forces it to at least 6 and looks like his 2020 finala version agains the warriors?
