i was just thinking about how he'd be viewed if he gets two finals appearances as the clear lead guy. even if he loses and doesn't look quite as good as the 2020 finals, i think it's certainly a significant achievement. it'll be interesting to see how he's viewed because he's never really been considered a top tier player but the playoff success would be difficult to deny.

Jimmay is really damned impressive. I would have him as the best player in the NBA at times. There really wasn't that much from the roleplayers this game at all.

I did not see Miami winning tonight. Incredible resilience. Especially when they fell down in the 4th Q.

To be honest, I think his accolades would line up with his ability more if he could actually put full regular seasons together. He usually misses a bunch of games and his minutes have being stuck between 33.6 and 33.9 per game since 2018-19, which makes his raw numbers stand out less even though everyone knows he's top 10-ish player.

After this game Jimmys gonna have 5 playoff gamescore performances of 35+ 3 of which were 40+ in a single postseason..........I think only 18 Bron has done that.................. :o :o

Not sure how to answer that question, but this is amazing. Jimmy's journey is worthy of an Oscar-winning movie.

??? how so...........corner 3s, offensive boards and the odd floater.............thats what hes been since Houston at least

His three-point attempt rate has dropped to 45% this season after being in the 60s and 70s for years. From the eye test he looks better to me making plays in the short midrange area.

I believe it was game 1 of this series but the announcers were talking about how they interviewed P.J. Tucker and he said he loved it there for multiple reasons but one is he is allowed to do a bit more in the offense. It makes sense to catch in the corner and create a 5v4 when you are defended to only shoot.

There was alot of pushback on Jimmy being a top 10 player TBH even tho its been obvious for a while now. Specially after 20 but then we got the bubble memes after he got swept embarrassingly the next season.

There are still ppl who think Embiid is better than Jimmy even when they were together and it was obvious Jimmy was their best guy in playoffs. There were ppl even some here entertaining Bam being better during the 20 run too...........Maybe its his attitude or something but hes been perenially underrated forever

I suspect Jimmy will be regarded as quite different from Kawhi, almost polar opposites, even though I see the resemblance you're pointing to.

Was he injured last year? I didnt follow the team but the Bucks series was bizarre............game 1 was electric and Khris won it at the end on a buzzer beater.............then the rest of the series was an absolute massacre..........

I don’t get Jimmy. How can he have the type of games that he had in games 4 and 5 and then have a game like this?

Don't think he was injured, just had like 2 months of rest after the Bubble and their offense got locked down by the Bucks. He looked he had no legs in the PS last year.

Yeah I just find myself shaking my head. He seemed cooked...and then he pulls out his finest performance yet.

Man, I missed second half. Butler is amazing, I hope he has enough in the tank to do the job in game 7.

Heat vs Warriors can be interesting because Miami create turonvers better than any other team in the league and it's Warriors weakness.
