Unfortunately I’m starting to think he won’t catch Kareem

If he had to play, I think he’d play comfortably. He had his best game of the season last game.

I think there’s some legitimacy to the injury, but I think they’re just being extra cautious with it.

if he really wants the record he could just play until 40-41 even if is a diminished role

Plus Ellington minus Lebron sounds like a disproportionate drop off in 2 way contribution, especially with Carmelo and rondo having to play more minutes. If the idea was sustainable results without either star the roster is still too crazy unbalanced to expect that consistently. One of Monk or Ellington's spot should have maybe been spent on different roles. Throw in DJ's corpse and this is a lot for AD to cover. Without either guy it's just a wealthy trailblazer team.

A grade 3 tear never goes away. That injury Bron got from Draymond pulling him will haunt him until he retires. Because of course it would.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

2871 points away

Say Bron plays 64 more games at 24 ppg, that is 1536

1335 left in a year seems really likely

If Bron stays pretty healthy and plays 75 games, he needs to avg 18 ppg....

If he gets hurt and misses say 1/3 of the year (plays 55 games), he would need to average 24.2 ppg

A lot just depends on how much he plays and how much he scores with Russ here (which has seemed fine b/c we are playing fast...too fast maybe)

I think Bron probably even plays 1 extra year if his kid gets signed somewhere, if not, then maybe he just retires

May also depend on if we can sign another star in a couple summers

It's infuriating how a veteran PG at his level does so much dumb ****. He's missed at least three passes for layups or open threes just to dribble his way into disaster.

His jumper is on point tonight though.

Even more concerning that we are barely beating OKC while his jumper is falling...

The defense is AWFUL

DJ, Monk, Rondo, and Melo are such lazy ****

The 1st 3 should be playing 0 min when healthy

Melo at least gives some really good shooting and some desperate iso buckets with out injuries

Core rn should be:

Russ, Ellington, Baze, AD, DJ (for very little min, 10 min total)
Rondo (very little min), Avery, Reaves, Melo, Dwight

Man these injuries BLOW

AD big stats, -17 on court, negative on court for the season, negative ON-OFF. Sad.

AD isn't perfect but he's not the problem here.

He’s not affecting the scoreboard this year. He didn’t last year, either. His defense has been really poor this year.

I'm not sure what you're expecting him to do defensively with this roster. Who else on the team is even average? Dwight, maybe Bazemore, and that's it.

The overarching problem is crappy roster construction, not AD.

SGA!!!!! Amazing.

but also feel like Westbrook contributes nothing to the Lakers perimeter defense.
