people always predict the end of small guards and it never happens

as long as small guards 5'11-6'2~ are the majority of the population pool who plays basketball a disproportionate amount of the world most skilled and athletic basketball players are gonna be around that height and many of them will be good enough to be in the nba or even thrive in it

the world population doesnt have enough 6'5 coordinated athletes playing basketball to completely phase out small players

in the reverse, there are not enough athletic and skilled people in the world 6'10 or taller playing basketball that "unskilled" bigs wont have a place in nba teams

Butler has been absolutely awesome so far. Man played 24 minutes and is clearly hurting yet played with force. Bam played terribly but put in a lot of effort as well.

That was maybe the worst 18 minutes Miami has played all season, and Boston didn't step on their throat. Miami has this one in the bag imo.

I see why Bam doesn't even attempt 3s. He can't use his tactic of throwing that thing up as soft as possible and hoping it bounces in.

Aside from the two games he played injured, he’s probably has had as good of a 17 game+ playoff run as anyone. Unless he falls apart in the second half (he may after playing the entire 1st half), he’s likely to have a

31 PER, .300 WS/48, +12.5 to +13 BPM, +13 RAPTOR.

These are all-time numbers.

In 2018 and 2022 the Celtics were also clearly the superior team. A +3 to +5 third quarter puts the Heat away, I think. If this is a one possession game going into the 4th, I fear for the Celtics.

Heat vs Warriors will be a massacre and utterly boring.

We might have to change our Jimmy matchup in 2nd half. Put Jayson on him.

Smart and White cant do anything to him.

i am a bit confused why people think miami would get murdered by warriors but boston would play them 50-50

what makes heat so much worse than boston?

i dont think people trust anyone on the heat offensively except for jimmy

the celtics arent exactly very trustworthy offensively either ofc but i think people have more faith in their cast

Miami is a lot more prone to nights like this when they can't create anything in the halfcourt outside of Jimmy.

I would be amazed if the Celtics blow this.

It feels like the Heat's offense is coming off scraps more-so than the Celtics.

The Celtics just generate better offense more consistently.

Whoever gets Oladipo next season is gonna be very **** happy. Just needs a summer to round out his offense again and he might be an allstar again. Hes back to being one of the absolute best defensive wings in the league. Just incredibly stifling.

Heat are top 3 in the league at forcing turnovers and thats killed us. Even if we somehow win this game the Warriors are gonna murder us
