Wade OUT (7 G)

-4.3 SRS, +2.0 Offense, +6.3 Defense, -4.3 Net

---------------------------------------------------------------

Wade IN (15 G)

-4.0 SRS, +1.0 Offense, +5.1 Defense, -4.1 Net

Without adjusting for Wade/Lebron/Bosh's missed time last season or any missed time this season, Miami has seen a 2.9 point dropoff in offense, a 4.6 point dropoff in defense, and an 8.2 SRS dropoff.

Whats more amazing is the dropoff the TWolves have had this year without Love. They went from a 3 SRS team to a -9 SRS team. A 12 point dropoff that challenges the greatest dropoffs in NBA history. Lots of people hated Love before, calling him a loser. But maybe he is a winner for taking a garbage franchise to .500.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic here or not, but Minnesota is missing their 3 best players from last year (not named Love) in Pekovic, Martin, and Rubio.

I don't think he'll miss it, but it looks like he'll end up with a 15+ points, 8+ assists type of game.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

Do you think Durant vs Lebron they will cancel one another out tonight like it has been the past few years in the games in OKC?

I think theres a strong possibility that they both have bad shooting nights and if that's the case advantage goes to LeBron for passing and defense

Not sure why he keeps ignoring that. Minny was competing w/ teams before Ricky went down, went to the last possession against Memphis and Chicago. then theyve been blown out almost every game and i think they only beat the lakers and the knicks who are arguably the 2 worst nontanking teams in the league. And like u said its been more than Ricky, they have kids starting for them right now and Pek and Kmart out

2014 Miami with In/Out and HCA/SOS adjustments

Season (82 G)

+4.1 SRS, +5.5 Offense, +0.8 Defense, +4.8 Net

---------------------------------------------------------------

Lebron IN (77 G)

+4.8 SRS, +5.8 Offense, +0.3 Defense, +5.5 Net

---------------------------------------------------------------

Lebron/Wade IN (49 G)

+5.4 SRS, +5.5 Offense, -0.8 Defense, +6.3 Net

---------------------------------------------------------------

So, maintain Wade/Bosh, replace Lebron with Deng and add some youth to the roster has resulted in:

3.5 point dropoff on offense
5.2 point dropoff on defense

7.7 point dropoff in SRS

in 14 G this year vs 49 G last year.

The past few years LeBron has generally outplayed KD in OKC especially in 2014 and 2013. Do you only post here to make statements like this?

KD's outplayed LeBron 3 times from my memory.

Game in Miami last year, 2012 finals game 1, and first game between the two in the 2012 regular season.

Otherwise, it's been all LeBron. And I'm not even including the games in 2011 and before.

Last year in OKC it was pretty close, remember Lebron had 8 turnovers in that game but did shoot better for the game.

The year before they played virtually to a stalemate as well with KD getting 40 and Lebron 39. http://www.basketball-reference.com/box ... 40OKC.html

Those 8 turnovers were BS. OKC stat keepers were on a mission that day.

And those 40 points by Durant were the weakest 40 point game I've seen. He got most in garbage time, with a bunch of suspect free throws. Once the game got close again, LeBron came in and iced it with the long 3.

Neither of those games were even close to a stalemate.

I know you don't even believe what you are saying. I also know that you watched those games and as Hibachi explained those games were not even close to a stalemate so don't bother, man.

That game was hilarious.

LeBron throws a bad pass to Birdman, TO LeBron (fair enough).
Chalmers throws LeBron a pass falling out of bounds, TO LeBron (ummm  )
Birdman throws another bad pass to LeBron, TO LeBron (ummm )

And those are just the two I remember. SSB said by his count he should only had 4 TOs. Even if all the 8 TOs were legit LeBron and the Heat were miles ahead of OKC.

JB, don't ever change. ;) You provide much-needed levity to the thread/board.

On-topic: Looks like the media is looking into the decline angle. A few articles up on the ESPN home page.
Now that's the difference between first and last place.

As they should. The physical decline is real IMO and here to stay. What remains to be seen is how much his impact on game has declined because of that and how it impacts his defense going forward (though he's looked better on that end so far compared to last RS).
