Successful drafting means letting go of my personal biases, so I'm going to go here...

Sometimes I wonder if people forget how good this guy was pre-injury: Grant Hill

I know it's controversial decision and this might be a bad idea given his reputation on this forum, but I can't imagine my team without him. He gives opponents really specific matchups problems and he's my 1st option on offense when Kareem is on the bench. He will be a nightmare for any forward, even the best defensive ones. He's also underrated defensively, at least in my opinion.
Anyway, Adrian Dantley my 3rd pick.

I'm comfortable that nobody will steal my next pieces so I want to upgrade my defense. I need ultimate wings stopper and there aren't many better choices than Michael Cooper. He gives me elite perimeter defense and spacing for Kareem and Dantley.

Cheap 4x DPOY to anchor my defense? Don't mind if I do.
Dikembe Mutombo

Fun fact, I met Deke in a burger joint called Zach's Burgers in Aston, PA. His head grazed the ceiling and he was leading an army of small children. I mustered the courage to ask for a finger wave, and he obliged amicably. A true OG on and off the court.

I am going to need a big, defensive guard to take the opposing team's lead guard, and it'll be doubly nice if he can shoot the lights out too.
My choice here is easy.

Jimmy Butler

24/6/6 on 59% TS, can shoot 3s and is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league.
