From reddit:

Jokic played 4 OTs this season. On them, he is averaging 47/17/6 per 36 minutes on 73/100/100 splits. +21, 4-0 record

Incredible.

Jokic is just ridiculous. He might be better offensively than peak lebron. Unbelievable season so far

A night later, Nuggets get their revenge while Jokic drops 46/9/10.

Monster.

I agree Shai should be first, too mich difference in total wins. If the Nuggets end up within 5 form the Thunder EOY I can see it, otherwise it's not fair for SGA.

This is an inherent problem in MVP evaluation. Jokic is clearly the MVP right now. Shai clearly has the better team. The MVP is not a team award. It's senseless to weigh Shai over Jokic because of team record which has more to do with teammates than the individuals in the voting.

Jokic is clearly the better player, not the MVP.
and Shai is a strong candidate on his own
conaidering team results as well has been the rule since the media started voting, I am all keeping somw consistency.

He might be? How is that even a question? He is better at every single aspect of offense other than highlight dunks. Peak LeBron was not a great shooter, Jokic has every shot imaginable from Skyhook to floater to 3pt shot and free throw. He is a better passer and better at offensive rebounding. Obviously he is also setting better screens. LeBrons case over him - if he has one - is longevity and in his first years better defensive contribution, but certainly not offense.

Have you seen the nuggets without Jokic? I‘m sure OKC does not depend on SGA to that extent, which is what the definition of the MVP should be.

This is purely narrative and media, just like when they handed the MVP to the crybaby Embiid.

I guess driving, P&R game, transition, ball-handling etc. are all called "highlight dunks" now.
