And your Celtics hate keeps coming- man your like JordanBulls in regards to Kobe.

How is Pierce overrated? He's regarded as the Celts 2nd best player, is playing consistently on the defensive end, and is having a good all-around season.

Then again, you did post this the night the Nets lost or were losing to the Celts, and Pierce admittedly was getting a lot of calls, so I'll take your statements with a grain of salt.

Kidd is NOT overrated, in the contrary. He gets a lot of flak for his low shooting %, yet the guy almost averages a triple double.

And yet somehow those triple doubles have led New Jersey to having one of the worst offenses in the league. Kidd gets treated like a god around here, and while the triple doubles are nice, at the end of the day Kidd is a turnover prone low percentage volume player.

I also think Deron Williams is overrated, I can't comprehend how people still think he's better than Paul.

Bynum is as good as advertised, the guy is putting up a 22+ PER in 29 mpg. People can complain about per minute stats when the sample size is small, but in 29 mpg it's quite clear that Bynum's production is no fluke. A lot of people will be eating crow when Bynum starts playing 35+ mpg.

Greg Oden because even though people think Andrew Bynum is the most overrated here, he is producing and Oden still hasn't proved anything.

Totally agree on Roy. Dude should not be getting MVP consideration.

The hell he shouldn't. He's a star. Getting 19/5/5 and leading a bunch of scrubs to top of their division on a team everyone thought would suck ass.

He's pretty much the Tim Duncan of guards. He deserves all the credit he's given.

Anyone who says Roy is overated is an idiot. He's not Wade or Kobe but he can ball.

^^

By team of scrubs, you mean team of Lotto picks??

19/5/5 isn't that great, and his percentages aren't even that great.

But I guess "he just wins" right?

Edit: Right, he's not Kobe or Wade, but he's getting treated like he is.... thus overrated....

k first off watch it with the name calling.

Addressing the topic at hand: There's really no individual stat Roy has that should make you think he's a superstar with a bunch of scrubs. 19/5/5 is NOTHING to brag about in an MVP discussion. His PER is not what it should be to be an MVP swingman. His team net +/- is actually negative.

If Portland were on pace for 70 wins or something that'd one thing, but as is, forgetaboutit.

He's definitely not the MVP, but he belongs in the discussion at least.

Sorry, but I think Magic Johnson knows a little more than you guys.

It should also be noted that he's averaging something like 21/6/7 or something in the past 20 games after a 16.5/5/5 start.

I'll say for the 100th time: Listen to player's words on the game of basketball because they have knowledge, but take their words about other players with a grain of salt because they often don't speak with objectivity and don't take their words as seriously as you might think.

Anyways the most overrated player this year has to be Bynum.. He has played great this year.. Defiantly not up to the hype some LA fans have portrayed, great none the less.. I think it's the Kobe factor, he doesn't have to face many double teams if any, gets lots of easy lay ups and dunks due to Kobe.. his offensive game basically consists of dunks and lil hooks.... not the top 5 center he is made out to be by some LA fan's.

Honorable mention to:
Yi ,I just don't see all this hype i'm sure he will be a good player in the league but nothing more than a solid 2nd 3rd option...... Basically a Charlie Villanueva clone..

LMAO!!! Yeah hasn't proven anything that is why most consider him a once a decade type of center and was EASILY pegged as the #1 pick even in his sophomore year in HS. Lakers fans are in for a rude awakening next season when Oden actually "proves" something. Lakers fans are the same people that were riding Kwame and Mihm's jock straps. Delusional.

Ok, im not saying that KG is overrated here, but this season his part in the celtics winning is vastly overrated. Paul needs some more credit
