JR signing was always a terrible idea.

I agree a bit, but I have seen this story for like 5 years now. I think Lebron and AD turn it up in the playoffs and we start to run a lot more of our sets.

We need role guys to hit shots though or we go home empty handed

JR signing is a good insurance plan. What if we face more injuries or there is a small outbreak? Need bodies.

Cook has been awful as well, very disappointing season from him considering how he looked decent last year

On a positive note, I think Hou has a legit shot to take that #3 seed. I think Denver will rest guys and be ok to fall to 4/5. I think Utah may get screwed and get #6 and still face Hou.

Hou can easily win 3 games, but then it really depends if they can beat PHI and go 4-0. Need Denver to win 0-1 of their next 4, which is possible considering their schedule, injuries, and motives

LeBron and AD will turn it up in the playoffs I have no doubt about that. However chemistry and team play does take a while to build up. It’s just not ideal. Lakers have a lot of really average parts so hopefully they bounce back from the break. KCP for example was having a great season. Can he get that back

Don’t agree about JR he’s not useful at all. There’s bodies out there.

What bodies?

Would have been great if Avery could just join us back, this break really screwed with our momentum and even the Bucks

It might be a cop-out but let's see how the Bucks and Lakers look in their first round series. Basketball with its 7 game series eliminates a lot of variance and volatility where the best players will be playing upwards of 38-40 minutes per games. If the Lakers get Portland in the first round might actually be a blessing in a disguise. It will be a hard fought 6 games IMO but it will be the Lakers for sure and it will give them the tune-up they seem to need.

The state of his jumper is pretty concerning, he bricked both of those FTs pretty badly too. The good news is that he looks good athletically.

Hey maybe it's a bad idea to leave the guy who's already scored 15 in the first 9 minutes wide open for a corner three

The Lakers conditioning looks very poor. Their players are hunched over and sucking wind mid first quarter.

What are they doing in practice, and why do they look like the worst conditioned team in the bubble?

Why are they playing THT and Cook at the same time with no actual ball handler? Where is Dion?

Cook has no confidence for anything, no point in having him out there in serious minutes.

THT can handle the ball, but I agree. Vogel doing werd stuff with rotations.

The Lebron '20 Thread (Pt. 5)

Post#672 » by Greyhound » Sat Aug 8, 2020 10:38 pm

Vogel wasted all three scrimmage games working in the new guys and resting the regulars (when it was obvious that he needed to get his players back in playing shape and rhythm) after the long break in the season.

Now he is benching all the new guys to focus on the regulars.

Great coaching.

It's much better for this team (as is the case for every team he's been on) when LeBron is aggressive and looking to score. The let others create stuff is no good when everyone's relying on him to draw attention and get them open shots.

Lebron has to get in the gym and shoot around, wtf is he thinking?

Cook is garbage

And Utah **** us, now Hou likely won't catch Denver

Regulars as in original members, not additions.

Vogel has found his scapegoats:

Morris
Waiters
Smith

And what's the point of playing people who won't sniff rotation minutes in the playoffs?

LeBron gassed after that run, and asked out. Clearly his conditioning is still not there.

Also, Dwight dribbling into a post up himself? Not the best sign for his attitude.

Why are you asking me?

I don’t have a say in any of this. I was just informing you as to what was going on.
