His statline will look better than the game because of the late fouls, but he did his job. It was an average game for Steph, which is all the Warriors needed to steal one on the road.

It was nice to see him actually engaged in the game early, and actually looking to play the game instead of watch it. He doesn't have to shoot every time, but the offense works best when he's handling or creating with the ball and looking to break down the defense with energy.

I've been very critical of him in these finals, but effort is all I was asking for. Don't need a 40 point explosion or anything. Just...try, for gods sake. He did that tonight, and looked a lot more like the guy we recognize from the season. Lets hope it carries over to Monday and he plays with some of that "F you" he had all year.

He and Lebron was stat padding tonight, especially in the end but Curry has a good solid game. Nothing spectacular. Nothing spell GOAT-level performer but certainly what to expect of superstar. The Final MVP is still Green but if Curry put up another solid game, he might take it. Though, I strongly advice the Curry fanboy from putting him in the same sentence with MJ.

Green or Iggy are still the top candidates. A strong game 5 from Steph will muddle things up, but those 2 have clearly been the most impactful Warriors.

Green who was 2-9 tonight?

You're right, voters probably tend to look too much at point totals. But if Green has an 11 point, 12 rebound, 7 assist game five while Curry scores 27 on 10/22 shooting and something like 4/9 from three and tags on 5-6 assists and 5-6 rebounds, it will be enough for him to win FMVP.

Decent but if that is the case Ben Wallace should have won finals mvp since no one else really dominated or even averaged over 25 ppg for that series.

Green is never going to give you most points. That's not his game. That is not his impact on the game. He was everywhere tonight, defending and rebounding the ball. He and Iggy have the most impact on the game but Steph is the one with the most impressive statline.

IMO, if the Warriors close it out in game 5, and Green plays a decent game, it would be a travesty if he doesn't win FMVP.

To me tonight's Curry was not much different from last game's Curry, except he put up more shots.
The difference was the warriors were much more focused and hustled harder after ball. In g3 we were down 20 rebounds and tonight we did a good job eliminating easy looks, forcing Irving one on one.
If we play at this intensity and Curry putting up enough shots, we are pretty hard to beat.

As they say. The series doesn't start until someone loses at home

This will almost certainly be THE game that people look back on as the dagger for both that reason and the fact it was the first game that actually was competitive...and in it the league MVP scored 38.

Stop getting cute. Steph is the FMVP right now even with 2 down games, be a shame if he got screwed for a 2nd year in a row because people are overthinking things and trying to be the smartest in the room. I'm rooting for the Cavs in this series, but now that it's basically over I hope he has a big game 5 to seal it

There is no way anyone other than Curry would get it now on the Warriors if they win the next game considering the next closest scorer right now is 15 ppg while Curry is at 21 ppg now

Iggy is only putting up 10/5/4 over 4 games last year he was at 16.3/5.8/4.0

Draymond has a bit of a better chance and he's at 14.8/9.3/5.8.

Curry might won it with another big game later. Right now he is 21.5/5.0/4.8

Not about steph specifically, but I think people who were tearing the Warriors apart after game 3 forgot they were still up 2-1, and won the most games in league history. Them bouncing back tonight really isn't a surprise.

Also, apparently all you need to do is get to the finals, and it activates super iguodala. He's amazing.

If the Warriors win game 5, and Steph plays well, he would have had a good game twice in a 5 game series. Hard to justify giving FMVP to a guy that showed up for 40% of a series.

Green has clearly been the better player in this series imo.
